Not too happy with the trailer lock. Pretty sure this will not protect from trailer theft....Once I finally locked the threads in place I realized that the pin easily pulls right out of the lock rendering it useless!

You can just unscrew the opposite side. I didn't even try hard, just felt it loose and I unscrewed it. Maybe vibration would've done the same ending up with a unsecured trailer while driving... I didn't try to unscrew the hitch lock piece, so can't tell if it is the same way.

I purchased this set when I was borrowing my father's utility trailer. He was simply using a nut and bolt as his trailer tongue/ball lock and has been non too concerned about locking his trailer or hitch on where he lives. I on the other hand figure its worth the time and money to lock up both for safety and theft deterrent so I picked this up to use while I borrows it and leave with him and "thanks for lending me the trailer" gift. Now if he uses them I don't know, but it was very nice that is comes with 4 separate keys but both locks are keyed the same so you essentially have a main and 3 spare keys and no hassle carrying 2 main and figuring out which goes to what lock. This was also one of the only tongue coupler locks that I have been able to find that fits his seemingly abnormally wide coupler lock. Most other locks were for the skinny locks that were no more than 1" wide. This barrel is 2-1/2" wide which fit perfect without much room to wiggle. Has what look to be good weather caps over the key holes. I hope they continue to work well.

Haven't had this lock very long. I went to take it off last night and couldn't get it off. I had to completely hose it down with wd-40 and work it back and forth on the key and shaft side of the lock. After about an hour of dealing with it, it finally came off, and low and behold what did I see. The lock inside were full of rust. I put in even more wd-40 in both ends and kept working with it and it freed up so the key work turn easy, and it would release the shaft. But, I'm not putting this back onto my trailer.

Bought this in February, put it on the truck. Today, I tried to take it of (for the first time) and the lock had broken. I had to cut it off as nothing I tried worked. There was no rust, the cap was on and as you can see from the picture they still look brand new. Is this a junk item or was this a one off problem!? Who knows, but of course I am past the return window.

I am so surprised how good this product are. I did read the other reviews and have a little bit skeptical about it. But it turn out was surprised me how well the locks are. Those 1 star review I am feeling sorry for them. Just a bunch haters. Love your guy products is owsome

Key wouldn’t work after a few month of owning to get my hitch off. Tried both keys and ultimately had to cut the lock off my hitch. The trailer hitch still unlocks but I don’t trust using it in case It decides not to unlock either......

These fit my truck and trailer perfect. 2019 ram amd 22 for bowrider. The tongue needs a wide lock and this one fits perfect. Comes with plenty of keys to leave them on all of my keyrings.
