We saw this on Shark Tank and had to try it because we go camping ALOT! We always do a fire and anything that makes starting the fire is great! I liked that they said that it wasn't harmful. So like roasting marshmallows over it would be ok. Loved that. You really have to pile the product up to get it to lite and to start burning your wood. Once we figured that out it made it a little easier to start.

This stuff is great for grilling and starting a fire. A small amount will light a charcoal chimney or loose coals. Super quick, great flame, no residue, no more paper ash blowing away. Saw this on Shark Tank

Used this the first time without an issue. Burns easily and starts fire on adjacent wood. Package suggested stirring product once lit, which did propagate the fire effectively. Does not burn as hot as starting with paper and kindling, but works into a warm fire more gradually.

Finally had a chance to use it to start my BBQ over the weekend. It worked as advertised and the starter sands and rocks kept the fire going for 15 minutes until the charcoals turned nicely white. I only use 1/4 of the package and it started my grill sufficiently. Some people had bad experiences with it! I believe they were not using it properly. I put the charcoals around and above the pile before I light the starter, so it has air going through, but not enough to blow the pile, see picture. Too bad the package isn't resealable, otherwise it would have been perfect.
