I rarely wear makeup, but I bought this so that when I do I don’t have to obsess over my lipstick wearing off. I haven’t had a chance to see if it works as a lipstick base, but I have used it as a moisturizer and let me tell you this stuff is awesome!Due to having to wear a mask everywhere I go my lips have been dry, cracked, and scabbed all summer. I used this as a moisturizer the day I got it and the next day my lips were completely healed. This stuff is so good that some idiot risked catching a deadly and highly-communicable disease by stealing it from me.In summary, this $5 lip balm is worth every penny.

I have not used this primer with lipstick yet but I have tried it on my lips. It goes on smoothly but feels sort of waxy. I guess that is how it should be to make your lipstick last longer. It is okay.

I tested it out the day it arrived. I put it on let it set. Then applied red lipstick to just one side of my lips, sat down and watched tv for 3-4 hours. I had sips of water during that time. When I went back to the mirror, all my lipstick was gone. On the bright side, it is a dense comforting lip base. I usually use Vaseline throughout the day. I think I could get by with this instead if I had to because it coats the lip very well and specifically. It simply did not hold my lipstick on.

Ok, so I might not be totally qualified to write a lip primer review, but here we go.I’ve never actually used a lip primer before, so I have nothing to compare this to. But dang what a difference! My lip stain actually stays ALL day without getting crusty

Great buy. Use as a base for matte lipstick since matte lipstick seems to dry my lips out. Would buy again.
