These are going into back up lights on a vintage car restoration. I purchased to replace another LED bulb that I thought was 'less bright' than I was hoping for. These had a higher rating on (lumens?). It will be probably a year or more before I can do a long term review or state how they hold up and or perform under ongoing driven experiences. At this point, I have best fit and powered up. I'm giving stated rating based on:-Fit was good/excellent. Bulbs are going into lighting sockets 55+ years old. They slipped in correctly, held firmly.-Powered the bulb through the light fixture, using the wiring harness attached to 12V+ and ground to battery.-Again, I don't have a 'real world' experience to state how well they do or don't light when trying to use at night and backing up, but just the 'eyeball test' indicates they indeed DO put our a brighter light than the others I bought.At this point, they fit, they both work and they seem brighter, so I am pleased with the bulbs and I'd recommend if looking for a light in this size/base style.

The interior lights on my sailboat are 12 volt automotive bulbs. When spending a few days away from the slip, battery usage is carefully considered so as to have enough juice to start the engine. Reducing current draw is always helpful. These bulbs seem to be the same brightness as the old incandescent bulbs with much less draw, a real advantage!

Replacement of incandescent bulbs on 1967-age car. Challenging to install, because a portion of the outer lens attached to the metal base is a flexible gel-type material. Pushing the bulb and twisting it in place caused the material to tear and separate from the base. Used a little construction cement around the base to seal it, hope it holds!Far brighter than factory bulbs.

And it works as it should. I replaced two old style incandescent bulbs with these in my small plane and they are brighter with a lot less amp draw.

I ordered a two bulb set to replace bulbs in my bathroom vanity lighting. The first set blew out instantly. So I returned them to Amazon and got a replacement set. The replacement set wouldn’t even light up. I’ve swapped working lights into the socket so It’s not the socket, just the bulbs are garbage.

I inherited an old Craftsman Router (315.17480) and wanted to replace the old incandescent auto bulb with a brighter bulb. It called for an Automotive #1004 bulb and I was not sure this product would work. First of all, trying to grip this bulb for installation is very difficult if you have to use force to get it into the slots. Being that this is an older tool, the slots for the bulb to be seated are very tight and a normal bulb holds up, whereas these silicone bulbs do not. I was trying to gently install one and accidentally crushed one of the components in one of the bulbs. After some finagling, I finally got the second one in and it works fantastically. I will also note that the two bulbs were completely different lengths, one was about 1/4" longer than the other. Luckily I had the clearance to accommodate the bigger bulb. If you do not need much force to install this bulb, it will work great. Otherwise, it can be difficult. The brightness is great and if I had another application for this type of bulb that is easier to install I would purchase again.

Although it states this is a 1004 bulb replacement, it is much longer than a standard incandescent bulb and would not fit in the light I had intended to use it for.
