It operates off of a simple on/off button so it’s very easy for kids of any age to use. It functions fine so long as you put a good quality battery in it, it lasts a fair while, better yet if you own rechargeable batteries. The light is not the brightest, however this was bought with the intention of it being a nightlight for which it serves the purpose perfectly. It looks good as well, which you of course would hope for with it being official Minecraft merchandise.
