Good wee device
Bought this as a friend’s kid was in a hospital ward for several weeks where her mum and dad’s mobile network had a terrible 4G reception (so when she tried to play her online games on her tablet via their hotspot it didn’t work). We tried from my network when I was in visiting and it worked great so I got her a data SIM for my network and bought this device to put the SIM in (as opposed to her dad having to change his phone contact to my network). It worked really well. You just insert the sim and turn it on and then connect to it like you would your home WiFi (username and password are are provided). Meant she could play Roblox and other games which made the whole hospital experience a lot less stressful for her parents. Couldn’t comment on range, but certainly would well from up to 4 or 5 metres away no problem. Battery lasts well and can be powered from mains or a power bank. Really easy to set up and fits in the palm of your hand. Would recommend.

Broadband filler inner
Very easy to set up and an ideal solution that worked in between setting up broadband. Even though it doesn't have a daily use anymore I still use it for journeys on the train and I have taken it abroad as well to use WiFi in the room. It has a sleek and simple design to it. One button for use to turn power on and off. The range on this device is good and it could still be found and connected from upstairs to down. Definatley value for money as it continues to have a purpose.

Ok but not the best
Works well enough with computers and tablets if a little sluggish (although that might be the mobile network). Managed 11 hours with very light usage from 1 device and low power wifi when I forgot to plug it in it in. However, don't mix computers and low power IoT devices that cannot handle lost packets as you will probably loose data (see gaps in picture)

Terrible product
Stop working very soon after set up - assuming they worked in the first place! I have now purchased 6 of these before realising that there is something wrong with them. Really disappointing.

Great little Wifi device
Bought this for an upcoming trip to Europe as my current mobile provider charges a daily roaming fee and by using a PAYG SIM from a different provider (with no roaming fees), this was a cheaper option. Set up was super easy via the app and the wifi strength is really good. I like the fact it's small so I can keep it in my pocket with my phone so I have access to internet, email and social media platforms etc when I need it. Only downside is the battery only lasts about 8-10 hrs so if I'm out all day, it sometimes struggles. I get round this by turning it off when I'm on the move (usually 2-3 hrs at a time) so it's not a problem. I guess there are other devices with a longer battery life, but for ease of use and practicality I would recommend this.

A bit exclusive and not as versatile as hoped
worked very well when there was a 3.com sim card in it but as soon as I tried a different sim from another supplier it gave up and refused to log in. I ended up swapping to using an old Samsung phone instead as a mobile hot spot. So now it's redundant like it's been semi locked Can't give it 5 stars for that reason

In the car, in the park - hotspot everywhere
Have had and used this for the past couple of years. Now, to be perfectly honest, I used to avoid TP-Link products like the plague - they did however seem to put a lot of effort last years to improve their products and make them somewhat usable and at very good price which you can't ignore. So, in short - it does exactly what it says it would - creates a hotspot with any SIM-card and you can use it as a standard wi-fi network with all your devices (limited apparently to 10 at a time which most times isn't really an issue). Has more than expected functionality in terms of settings - speed limits and data restrictions to avoid data allowance surpass, flexibility on setting network and so on - can do everything you may need to even replicate your home network and not have to log into a new device and network - your devices would recognize it as a known home network if you set it up with the same SSID and password. Being USB powered is especially useful, as you can have it plugged in your car and have wi-fi for hours while driving providing wifi for everyone aboard. I've also had it plugged into an USB power bank and left in the car to provide internet for my dashcam and a small Blink Outdoor battery powered cam to keep an eye on the car while parked - that worked quite well. Speed - despite reviews of it being slow, you have to understand that greatly depends on the network load, signal strength, distance form the tower and not at last even the weather. And if you find your phone to at times have better speed, remember it didn't cost you 35 odd pounds, nor it's as small - has bigger antenna which greatly helps. But for what this device is, I'd say it's doing a darn good job and I can't (yet) fault it a single bit. Battery life - usually goes for at least 4 hours, which for me is more than enough, if you need more, just have a power bank handy. Finally, should you buy it - if you're looking for way to share single SIM card internet plan with all your devices when on the go - YES, certainly! --The Grumpy Engineer

Better than expected.
Purchased as a quick replacement for broadband service due to a move being postponed. Expected it to work but was prepared for issues with streaming etc. Boy was I wrong. It functions extremely well. Have a number of devices and all work well. Support is there if needed and even a courtesy call to check all ok. If this works as well outside as it does in my flat it really will have exceeded all my expectations. It does take a little wait before the internet service sets up on activation but I was setting it up about 10pm. By 5am it was up and fully functioning. It was probably available earlier. Very small unit easily portable.

Product dies not charge after 1 month. Red battery light keeps flashing and you need it to connect to charger. Battery does not hold up the charge. Hot spots disable automatically Withing 1 month of use charging issues. do not buy waste of money and it wont return to seller as you will have to arrange all return cost. For Warranty claim it is mentioned that you have to arrange the return and all cost of return to claim wareanty. So avoid do bot buy
