Installed for a recent amputee shower. The fit is perfect and the grip diameter size is good for any size hand to grab securely.

Getting out of our shower was becoming a bit more challenging as we are getting older so we began looking for a grab bar to provide something sturdy to hold on to as we exit the shower. I really like the fact that the middle of this bar has texture to it, so that your hand does not slide on the bar. We were able to mount it right outside the shower door and it is exactly what we were looking for. The product is sturdy and well made. Any difficulty in installing it was on our part, not the product itself, as we had to drill into the wall and it was a bit difficult to get the screws in completely so that the screw cover would latch on. We finally managed to complete the installation and are quite pleased with the product.

I unpacked, will not install for a few months. Checked the finish and the fit. It appears to be fine. The welds are a bit Spartan however those are covered. Chinese S.S is to be skeptical, with my experience, however I have had some good Stainless from China's Specs from other manufacture. So time will tell. I mentioned Size, I meant diameter of bar(s) ordered. I am kinda use to a fatter Bar like One would see in a Hotel equipped with a Grab Bar. These are 1" round, not obtrusive and will be welcomed in a standerd 5X3 Shower Stall, they show it on the diagram at POS but it is written small and perhaps why such a good price for S.S. Grab bars? Knurled for grip too. Heads up DYI's Studs are on 16" Center, so if you buy a 12" and not going to have the wall(s) open for your remodel or addition to add 2x4 backing, you should buy a Molly Anchor to mount the "floating" side for your install. Those Plastic Anchors are a cute idea, but I would not trust more than 15 lbs on a Nylon Grommet in Drywall, which is basically Chalk sandwiched between thick paper. I went with the 16" for entry, as I am only getting older and while I am remodeling. . . then a 12" by the Shower fold down seat. They stick out about 3" from the wall, and are 1" in diameter. Hold a Shampoo bottle atop.

I bought these as i needed quick delivery to install for my wife who is recovering from a fall. I usually buy Transolid. These are thin metal, rough finishing on mounts (I got 2 metal splinters), screws short and not stainless steel. These seem to support the weight of my wife and will use till I find better replacements.

I needed a grab bar that was not too large in diameter. The ones that I could source locally were too big for my hands. The grab bar is 1 inch in diameter and just the right size. Two came in the package, so one is mounted in the shower and my husband mounted the second grab bar so I can hoist myself off the toilet if needed. I am very happy with this product.

My first issue is with the thickness of the steel. It certainly feels on the thinner side and with the diameter of the rail considered as well, I wonder how strong the rails may be. However, the main problem I have identified is the size of the supplied screws. In my situation the screws have to go through tiles and then into brick. As the screws are only 30mm in length, I am not confident they will hold the rail securely. I intend using 65mm stainless steel screws and heavier duty rawl plugs instead of the supplied ones.
