UPDATE: Right after I left this review, the seller reached out to me and offered to send me new lights at no cost. They were very kind and professional and even reached out to ensure that I had received the lights they sent and to make sure they were working. Now they work perfectly!I ordered two of these, one of them works great, sticks on well and remote works. The second one, it started turning on by its self and would only turn off for 30 second intervals. Then the remote stopped working to turn them off. Now they wont turn on at all. I tried to order a replacement but was denied which is a bummer.

I read a lot of reviews on this product before buying and had some concerns particularly over the adhesion. I bought them because we have a hot tub on the deck and a step down to get to it which was impossible to see in the dark when we use the tub.The product was exactly as advertised in terms of operation and features.I installed under the lip of the overhang on the step down of the deck intending to light with white but as the picture shows we have enjoyed varying the colors. They are more than bright enough and easily adjustable. While you can light them from a distance including through a window (a small antenna is part of the construction), I currently have them on a six hour timer which is also running my Christmas lights.When the come on they go directly to the previous setting so I do not have to do anything but enjoy them.Installation was trivial. Peel off the backing and press onto the deck surface. My deck is synthetic not wood so I cannot comment on adhesion over time with wood but so far it has been over a month and they are sticking just fine despite multiple heavy rainfalls and multiple freezing nights.

Love these lights, they’re even brighter than the ones that we had on our front porch before. The only thing is i’m disappointed that you cannot connect the three strands together. And you can’t buy two connectors, and I hate that they all have to come back to homebase to be plugged in. Cannot decorate our front porch out by our pool like we wanted.

Excellent under my Aliner Expedition RV- At the front of my RV, I have an existing waterproof container (plastic ammo box from Walmart) in which I have a series of switches for several devices outside my RV.- I did not use the transformer that came with these lights and I instead hard-wired these 12 volt lights to my existing 12 volt switch.- The remote control requires line-of-sight, so I mounted the end of the remote receiver so it is visible/works. The remote is great for different colors/effects.- Under my RV, I adhered the lights to the inside of the large steel beams, so the light is directed to the opposite side of the RV. I did this because I didn't want to see pin-pricks of LED lights, and instead I wanted diffused less-harsh light. Some camping neighbors don't like bright light, so this is a good compromise.- I first cleaned the steel beams with alcohol and then very easily peeled off the protector to reveal the excellent adhesive on the lights.- 2 sets of lights in the package, both originate at the front and both run to the back to the rear bumper. On my camper, the lights only go down the sides, not across the front or back, which is fine, because the sides provide plenty of light.
