COOKIE NIRVANA
These cookies delighted us from the very first taste many years ago when visiting the Big Apple. We discovered they seem to be an NYC specialty, not available anywhere else. Thank heaven for the Internet and Amazon. We ordered 3 boxes (18 cookies in each) over the Xmas holidays. All arrived amazingly fast, and were bakery fresh --- delicious!! Each cookie is individually wrapped in a sealed bag, and the size of each cookie is about 4 inches in diameter. The texture is soft, chewy, cake-like with vanilla and chocolate icing. We like that the icing isn't overly sweet like some frosting can be. There is approximately 300 calories per cookie, so ...... use a knife to cut in half (vertically, of course, everyone wants both flavors) and share. Or, be like me, and eat an entire cookie in one sitting :) Either way, utterly enjoyable.

The Undisputed King of Black & White Cookies
As a 50+ year fan of black and white cookies, these are among the best I have ever had. For those who want to understand why the black and white cookie is a classic New York treat, all you have to do is try one of these from Beigel's Bakery and you will know. Be careful though, once you try it you too will be hooked for life. The cookie itself is moist and delicious. The icing is excellent and plentiful. They make for a great dessert or snack with coffee or on their own.

Black and White Cookie
We have bought these multiple times from the same seller. These cookies are the absolute best black and white cookies! This time however the interior box was crushed and we received some broken cookies. The exterior box was not damaged. Cookies were melted to plastic, and one was already broken open. Cookies still tasted good, but in condition to give as a gift. Kind of disappointing.

These taste like I remember
Grew up munching on Black & Whites in New York. These taste like I remember. I like the fact that they come individually wrapped--keeps them fresher longer, as Black & Whites tend to dry out pretty quickly. They freeze really well too. Sent them to my son in Oregon and brother in Arizona. They arrived in perfect condition and delicious!!

Please... DON'T DO IT!
These were REALLY GROSS & TERRIBLE. They taste NOTHING like true Black & White Cookies you get from your local Bakery or in-house Grocers Bakery section. These are so filled with preservatives to obtain a cockroach life, its like biting into gross moldy flour & sugar. I can't hardly find the adjectives to explain, just how disgusting these are. There is like beads of moisture sweating inside the plastic, that makes the cookies stick to it & makes it look even more unappetizing. So, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY by buying these cookies. Because they just may RUIN your love of them, FOREVER! UGH! 🤢🤮

Good, but not the best I've had
A few months ago, our local 7-11 was selling large "New York's Original" Black & White cookies made by Cobblestone bakery. I got hooked on them, and of course they disappeared never to be seen again. I contacted the company asking if they had any other distributors in the area or if they sold to the public, but they didn't respond. I couldn't find them for sale anywhere online. So I thought I'd try these Beigel's Bakery cookies. They're very good, but just not quite as good as Cobblestone's. I think the cake at the center of Beigel's gets a little too thick and overpowers the frosting, and the frosting is generally a little too thin. Of course everyone has different opinions on what makes the best B&W and if you don't like them as sweet, Beigel's may be perfect. Beigel's also gave me that slightly uncomfortable "too rich" sensation in my stomach which I don't remember getting from Cobblestone's recipe. This may be due to Cobblestone's being more uniform in thickness so less fatty cake overall.Beigel's arrived with cookies packed on end which some have complained leads to damage at their edges, but I didn't find any damaged ones. On the other hand, there was no padding, so damage could certainly occur depending on how careful the shipper is. Since these are food and not art, I'm fine with the possibility of damage, but if you need all 18 perfect as a gift or whatever, it might be a problem.

I was excited to get to try these cookies ... I was shocked at how big these cookies are ...I read the size before ordering ... I was still shocked lolI'm a chocolate lover ... but I like the Vanilla half better ....the cookie itself is more like a cake ...slight lemon flavor .... very good ... I shared them with some of my neighbors ....

Two Stars
Cookies are good but poorly packaged for delivery. Most of mine came crushed.
