It fails to do this. I first used a single layer of tape and clamped the phone, but the screen separated within 24 hours after removing the clamps. I then tried a double layer of tape and clamped the phone, but the screen separated within 3 days after removing the clamps. ### ⭐ Absolutely and literally worthless *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2019* This tape wouldn't even stick to glue. I would recommend that T-fal look into using a layer of this tape in their next non-stick pan but it would probably fall off. Every application I have tried using this for, including several which were originally fixed together using 3M VHB adhesive like this tape is supposed to be, came apart after 24 hours or less. Scraped off the original adhesive (the plastic razors this set of tape comes with is actually pretty useful for that, don't worry, you won't need them to remove the actual tape from this set) cleaned with alcohol and applied this tape while wearing gloves to prevent oils from getting on the surface and tape and they just fell apart. Clamping doesn't help, cleaning doesn't help, roughing up the surfaces doesn't help polishing the surfaces doesn't help. After whatever you were adhering together falls apart, its shocking how easily the tape comes off whatever side it decided to stick to most. Actual 3M VHB tends to stretch out and break before coming off, especially on smooth plastic and glass. This is more like removing a post it note. Judging by the price I would assume that there is no genuine type 4910 adhesive used here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent hold and a lot of tape *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2015* Everything you need to replace a touch screen on a phone, tablet or laptop. I used the tape to secure a touchscreen on a 15.6" laptop and the hold is terrific. I used 2 lines since the tape is only 2mm wide but I was able to secure the screen successfully. The tweezers came in handy for removing the film covering the tape. I liked the addition of the plastic razor blades which I used to remove old tape residue from the laptop.
