Review: Excellent Temperature Gauge - I love this temp gauge. Replaced the bands and gasket on my Big Green Egg and decided I'd change out the dome temp gauge; the old one had started getting condensation inside, and I wanted a larger one. Temped it for accuracy when it came in and it was spot-on. My BGE is about 15 feet from the back door and this gauge is large enough for me to look out the door and across the deck and easily see what temp I'm running. And it goes up to 900°F! Don't really need that, but 700° for pizza is common. I highly recommend this item.
Review: Better than Tel-Tru - I had a Tel-Tru in my Big Green Egg for a number of years until it broke. Since it did a good job I ordered another Tel-Tru BQ325R here on desertcart. Unfortunately, the Tel Tru that I bought was leaky and within a short period of time there was water in it. Drops of water, not just a little bit. If you look at the reviews for Tel-Tru it's not an uncommon complaint. Bought one of these because the Tel-Tru failed and it's worked really well. It's accurate - compared it with another thermometer that clips on to the grate and most importantly it doesn't leak. Have had it out in the weather and the inside is as dry as a bone. Another big benefit - this thermometer is significantly less expensive. Next time I need a new one for my Egg, I'm getting another one of these. Why spend twice as much for a lousy product. Tel-Tru has really dropped the ball.

I love this temp gauge. Replaced the bands and gasket on my Big Green Egg and decided I'd change out the dome temp gauge; the old one had started getting condensation inside, and I wanted a larger one.
