USTEK SM451 In-Ear Earphones Stereo Earbuds HiFi Earphone Headphone with Microphone Black

To be sure, these are great ear phones, if what you are looking for are DISPOSABLE ear phones. I received these as a Christmas present and was excited to have a set of buds that had some audio controls (volume/pause) on them so that I did not have to fumble for my phone every time someone wanted to talk to me while I was listening to something while walking the dog. I also liked the flat cable which tended to tangle less. They were a bit long but better too long than too short. Sound quality was quite good as well. Problem was, they just broke, barely a month after I started using them. Now sound only comes out of the right ear bud. I assume it is one of the wires in the flat cable near the phone connection jack. If I wiggle it, sound returns to the left bud. I am rather fastidious about their care so I am pretty sure there was nothing I could have done to prevent this from occurring. I can only assume it is poor workmanship. I can find no warranty information via Amazon. It says contact the manufacturer but I cannot find a direct link to company called USTEK anywhere. The only reference to a company by this name via Google says " You Deserve a hassle-free experience in ordering Printed Circuit Boards, Metal parts, Connectors and Specialty Components" and does not include ear buds in their product line. The actual box my ear buds came in had no mention of USTEK on them anywhere. In fact, they are from a company in China called BYZ (Begin Your Zest) and there is no warranty of any kind (even in Chinese) in the box. So, unless you enjoy throwing your money away, I WOULD NOT purchase these OR ANY OTHER PRODUCT on Amazon with "by USTEK", whatever that means. It is not the manufacturer to be sure.

I'm honestly not too particular about sound quality since most of the earphones I've bought/used are under $20. But of the ones I've owned these are a great pair of earphones. I did buy them when they were selling for around $13, but even for ~$20 I'd say they're not bad. Fits nicely into my ears, effectively blocking outside noise-- If you have these on with songs playing at medium volume, you won't really hear much of outside noise. Even when you put these in without music, it blocks a good amount of sound.Another bonus is that they don’t feel bad after long periods of use. I've had these in for hours at a time without my ears getting sore. They slip right in and out but still do a great job of blocking sound. If you like a tighter fit, think twice!The best thing, though: What I didn’t realize from the pictures is that it’s a tape/flat cable, which in my experience so far helps prevent tangles and feels more durable. Also, it prevents the cable from coiling, and even when it does, it makes it much easier to pull apart-- This is probably one of my favorite things about this pair of earphones. I haven’t seen many other cheap earphones with tape cables, so this is pretty sweet!Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a better pair for $23 (which is what these are selling at right now) so do some research!

First off, theses earbuds sound great. The lows aren't too overpowering, the mids are clean, and the highs are actually quite crisp for earbuds at this price. I was very pleasantly surprised when I first listened to these. The don't sound foggy or muddy. The one problem I DID encounter however, is that the right earbud gives off a little more bass than the left. This isn't the worst thing in the world but it can become a little annoying. In all the songs I have listened to, the bass is consistently louder on the right earbud. Now I got used to it a little but I am still annoyed by it, just a heads up. Overall these earbuds sound absolutely amazing for the price, they are comfortable, but the balance of the bass is just too big to overlook causing me to drop 2 stars. If this wasn't a problem, these would be 5 star earbuds.

When I took these from the (pretty high-quality) packaging, I was pretty excited. They looked premium, like headphones more than twice their price, and felt durable. They included a clothes clip, which is a nice touch, too. However, when I started playing them, their sound was okay, with the mids a bit muddy. A little bit of tinkering with the equalizer helped, but I wouldn't rate this a 4.

The earbuds are really good but in the 1st month that I bought it, the left side cut off and won't work anymore. Also it has a static sound if you put it in a certain way. For me this is annoying and I kind of wasted $20 on this because it lasted so little. Hope this helped.

The headphones came faster than I expected and the quality is actually good for Chinese headphones. I was skeptical of the headphones at first because they're $17.99, but it's worth it.*Clarification* I rated 5 stars due to the fact that the earphones were shipped very fast, but I can't justify the $17.99 price tag mentioned above. Don't get me wrong, they're good, but you'll probably get better earphones for this price or a little bit more, and ones that won't break after a month or so.

The earbuds worked fine, they had a great sound and they were very comfortable due to the light weight design. The volume slider and the control button were great and made my daily use of them much more enjoyable. However after literally one week of having them one of them just stopped working. There were no signs of any issues with them, they seemed to have been working perfectly that day, but them out of nowhere they just stopped working. Due to this major defect I cannot recommend these earbuds. There are better ones of higher quality and greater longevity, do not get these earbuds.

Was hoping the flat design would help prolong the life, but alas, a cheap pair of headphones in the trash. Good sound quality when they worked though!
