NOW FOODS Thyroid Energy, 90 CT

These have been very effective for me and I love the Now brand.

This supplement gives the body the raw material it needs to create T4, which is then converted by the body into T3, and T3 is what gives you the energy. If you do not have low T4, you shouldn't be taking this. I believe this product is not named properly because it's not intended to give you energy. It's intended to give your body what it needs to make hormones that will give you the energy (T3). That being said, if your body cannot make this conversion properly, you're not going to have energy. Conversely, if you start taking this and you're getting heart palpitations, etc., you're making yourself hyperthyroid, and if you're taking medication in addition to this, that can be dangerous. You should work with your Healthcare provider to lower your thyroid medicine dosage.Everyone needs to understand how the thyroid works before taking supplements like this because you can cause more harm than good.All this being said, if you have issues with low T4, and your body is able to convert it into T3 properly, this supplement will work wonders for you!

Feeling more energy, sleeping better, and able to maintain my weight (with daily exercise of course). Back to my old self again. If thyroid issues are your underlying problem, this may help!Update: Still seems to work but causes lots of excess gas and upset stomach. Will update again after taking it less than recommended to see if that helps.Update #2: Cut back to taking it every other day for the past month and the upset stomach is way better now. I take it right before bed so I don't notice it.Update #3: My system seems used to it so I take 1 every night right before bed. No more gas issues or upset stomach from it. Hopefully it gives most people good results as well!Final thoughts:This stuff is the single most helpful supplement I've taken in years! So glad it does what it claims to do.

The picture showed that it was supposed to have guggul in the supplement, but when the bottle came it did not have guggul included. That is one of the main reasons I went with this brand and because of its nature it is not returnable.

Been using these for years, they indeed seem helpful.
