Fordite has become increasingly popular to create jewelry with because of the many layers that come through. Each of these rough 25 gram pieces of fordite is plenty of material to make many pieces. Review: I bought it for a science nerd who works in an assembly plant - It’s a very small chunk but quite lovely in its depth of color. Review: Each piece is unique - I wanted to own an authentic piece of US automotive history, so I am happy with this purchase. I received two pieces, both with uneven/broken edges. Most of the layers are either shades of whites or greys with the occasional colored layer mixed in. The pieces are bigger than expected and surprisingly light weight for the size.

Very unique and fun gift.
So very unique ! This was quite a hit on Christmas. This was one of our gifts to our grandson and I had to explain what it was exactly. His truck is the colors of the Fordite I chose. Quite a hit with everyone.
