Heavy enough for me and the quality is good
I’ve been using it several times now walking around. Atleast 5miles and I’m using half the Weight provided. It’s giving me some good resistance. Will be while til I use all the 30lbs. I like the weights they look like solid bars and will probably last longer than the vest. When that happens, can carry them in a back pack or buy another vest.

80 and 100 pound comparison
I bought the 80-pound vest 2.5 years ago. I used it nearly every day for squats until my cat decided it would make a good litter box. I figure I got my money's worth out of it, and it was time for a better one anyway, so I ordered the 100-pound. I didn't order the 100-pound because I need that much weight. I got it because I wanted the steel weights instead of the sandbags that come with the 80-pound and lower weight vests. The 80-pound served me well. There was a tear in the shoulder strap similar to what another reviewer posted. I was okay with that because it was not going to come apart completely. Like I said, I used it nearly every day. My main complaint about the 80- was that the sand bags were so difficult to get in and out of the pockets that I never bothered to change the weight and just kept it about 65 pounds. You can see in the pictures how much bigger the sand bags are. The 80- vest is much larger than the 100+. The steel weights are very easy to get in and out of the pockets. The sand bags are all 3 pounds. The steel ones are 3 and 1.5 pounds. The 80- comes is one piece and has padded shoulders. It isn't adjustable and hangs at my waist and I'm 6'4". The 100+ comes in two pieces (pictured) and does not have pads in the shoulders. The 100+ is adjustable. I tried wearing it at the shortest setting but I couldn't reach the straps that go around you to secure it. I let it out maybe 3 inches front and back and now it sits a couple inches above my waist. The 100+ is a much snugger fit which is great. The 80- was too loose to do push-ups with but I can use the 100+ for that no problem. I definitely prefer my new 100-pound vest over the older one. Obviously the price jumps up quite a bit when you go from 80 to 100 pounds. When I bought the 80 I think the 100 was about double the price of the 80 but right now the 100 is only $150. I think that's a pretty good deal for a versatile, durable piece of equipment that I'll use every day. Even if you need less than 80 pounds the 100 pound vest better if you can handle the price. The main drawback for the 80- is how tight the weights fit in the pockets and the size. If you're a smaller person the 80-pound is going to be very large on you. I don't know if the lighter ones are just as big or not. They could be smaller and have fewer pockets. I suspect the 120 is exactly like the 100 because there are enough pockets to hold 46 three-pound weights. That would make the vest 138 pounds plus the weight of the vest which is probably about 5 pounds empty. So to truly be 150 pounds the vest would need 4 more pockets. Mine came with 103.5 pounds of weights-23 3-pound and 23 1.5-pound and there are 46 pockets but they will all take the 3-pound weights. I'd give the 80-pound 4 stars because of the tight pockets. The 100-pound costs more but the advantages are worth it. Now if I can just keep it out of the reach of my cat....

Update: Broke after 15 uses, but seller was responsive
UPDATE: As you can see from below description, a couple of the seams in the vest started to unravel with just 15 or so uses. However, I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement vest which seems to be holding up pretty well. As a result, I have updated my review to reflect: a responsive seller who stands by its product; a well-built and solid vest, with well-designed weight pockets that should last a long time. I can recommend this vest now. Aside from the initial quality control issues/problems I experienced, I think it's still the best weight vest I can find for a reasonable price. Original writeup is below; downgrade to one star due to the following: I used it only about 15 times and using only 30 lbs of the maximum 40 lbs capacity, and you can see from the attached pictures that the vest is already starting to fall apart. I've only used it for walking on my treadmill indoors, and you can see that it just doesn't seem to be very well made. I am writing the seller/manufacturer and will update this based on their response. If it's not favorable, my one star downgrade remains. Hopefully they'll do the right thing since I only bought it four months ago and it's received very light usage. In the mean time I DO NOT recommend it. OK, got that off my chest. I'll be 61 years old soon, hence, a senior citizen, AKA "an old man" as my daughters sometimes call me. I bought the vest to round out the equipment I have in my home gym. I wanted something I could adjust the weight on, and wear while working in my yard, around the house, or walking on my treadmill. Some say this chafes, but it really doesn't. Not if you wear a shirt. Of course it'll chafe if you wear it bare against your skin because it is solidly built, with very good seams, and heavy duty quality materials. The weights that came with it (I got the 40 pound vest) where all in the box, and they fit PERFECTLY into the various pockets for them. So this tells me two things: 1. The manufacturing tolerances for both the vest and the individual weight packs are precise, and demonstrative of good quality construction; and, 2. It's going to take a little bit of patience and care when you're putting the weights in. Taking them out is no problem. And putting them in is no problem either if you follow this advice: Start by putting the ones at the front and/or back bottom row in first while you're holding up the vest with one hand, or propped up against something; then move on to putting weights in the top row of the vest. This makes it so much easier and makes the job quick. It doesn't smell. But since I wear a cotton shirt underneath it while I'm working out, I think eventually some of the sweat may work it's way into the vest, at which point a light hand soaking/wash may be recommended. But this is normal for anything that comes into contact with the human body. It's a great buy and fits perfectly on my 5' 7", 145 pound frame.

Great Product, But Be Careful With the Plastic Sandbags!
I'm thrilled with this. It's just what I need to rehab my atrophied legs and I can do it little by little by adjusting the weight to my liking. One warning is to be very careful with the plastic weights - GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to not rupture them. Perhaps someone more handy than I could even sew themselves up a material enclosure into which you can put the plastic ones. Most of the bad reviews were from people who had issues with the plastic sand bags.

Great for weighted push-ups
This weighted vest has been an excellent addition to my workouts. The design is incredibly practical, with 12 individual pockets that hold 4 lb weights, making it easy to adjust the total weight exactly how you want it. Whether you’re starting lighter and building up or loading it heavier for more intense sessions, the flexibility is a huge plus. Swapping weights in and out is simple and doesn’t feel like a chore. The vest fits securely without shifting around during movement, which makes it great for walking, bodyweight workouts, or conditioning sessions. It distributes the weight evenly and feels balanced rather than bulky. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the stitching and pockets hold the weights firmly in place. It’s comfortable enough for longer sessions but still provides that extra challenge you’re looking for. If you want a customizable, well-made weighted vest that can grow with your fitness level, this one absolutely delivers. Five stars without hesitation.

Excellent value; surprisingly comfortable
Excellent quality fabrics and straps. The weights are in ~4 lb increments and well distributed throughout the vest. I opted for the 50 lb vest and started rucking at 25 lbs to get my feet and joints used to it. Surprisingly comfortable and breathable. The weights themselves are well sealed sandbags. The main abdominal strap is durable and so far no lower back issues.

Fit: Ok Delivery: Awful
Delivery: I ordered this product used. I mention this because I have purchased 30lbs+ items from cap before and this has never happened. Its always padded and sealed excessively: The box was mangled. There was no effort to reseal the product and it was delivered with gaps big enough for the sandbags to just fall out if tilted the wrong way. The product was fine and works, but I needed to wait for the sandbags to thaw because of the awful sealing job for how cold it was at the time of delivery. Thankfully nothing was missing. It came with no internal padding, product bags, anything. All just sliding around the box. The pictures attached was after I pulled it inside and reconnected a couple box flaps. Fit: I use this for calisthenics, and it works alright. Its hard to use for pushing exercises such as pushups, straight bar dips, and any upside down bodyweight lifts due to it hitting the ground or sliding around on my body, but pullups and standard dips work fine with it. I have to crease the sand bag end-holders to make it snug as it was too loose. I understand its meant to fit all sizes but the minimum adjustment was snug but loose enough to fold up or slip around for some exercises. Adjusting Putting weight in the vest is easy enough, however, the velcros are awfully loud for a home gym with other people living here. You need to tear 3 loud velcros just to reach the front patch. You also need to balance thebsides that the weight it in or else it will pull you either forward or backwards and choke you. (Bad when you want to be able to touch the ground completely with the weight still fully pushing you all the way, and not laying on the ground, reducing the weight it give you). I really contemplated returning this item, but it was already used, boxeless, and now has been used repeatedly by me (tested on different workouts by day), and is now sweaty (smells up fast). In addition: It works for what I need it for: pullups, dips...just not the extras. I usually dont write critical reviews like this, but I'm quite dissapointed with the presentation/fit given from such a good brand. If you buy this, dont save to get it used as you might be missing parts and padding, and please make sure you use it for the intention away from floor exercises or jumpy exercises, unless you have a larger frame
