The Pelican Chorus: And Other Nonsense

Along with Ride A Purple Pelican by Jack Prelutsky, this was my oldest daughter's favorite book. I cannot tell you how many times we read it cover to cover. Funny, and lots of fun to read, this will be wonderful, especially for any kids that are not book lovers, or are struggling to read in general, because it is so funny. (Mom & Dad will have to help with some of the nonsense words, I am sure.) My 12 month old already likes to listen to the poems (there are three longish ones in here), and since I spent so many years reading it to the oldest, I know the stories well. Terrific illustrations as well. I highly recommend it!

Fun book to read out loud. Few authors can write and rhyme so well as this. The illustrations are lively and vivid and colorful. A terrific book.

This is a delightful book for young children. The book includes 3 stories with fun pictures for children. My preschool grandson and I have enjoyed reading this book together at LEAST 25 times. The first story, especially, is one that he is eager to read again and again.

One of my very favorite children's books. The illustrations fit so well with the poems. Really a classic.
