Binocular Rubber Eyeshields (Twin Pack) Binocular Eye Cup | Camo | Standard Size Fits Most Binoculars & Telescopes

Had eye shields on a pair of Swarovski binoculars I had to send in for repair. They came back without the, no longer made. I found these in my research. I bought the two pair so grandson would have a pair for his binoculars. Eye shields on less expensive binoculars makes them compete with the high dollar binos. This is a must have if you have binoculars. Swarovski did send me their version of these & it brought mine back to original as possible. I wasn’t going to use them until I got them from them. I will buy two more sets for my other two pair of binoculars.

The right eye piece of my binoculars is adjustable for optical clarity. i must slide the eye shield past that so that the EyeShield does not turn with it. Now the right side does not shield my eye very well. Probably is adaptable to many binoculars

The eyecups arrived in an impressive metal tin complete with fit to shape foam insert inside like they were a piece of fine optics or electronics but they are bassically 2 rubber rings.The 3 stars are because that for my binoculars, which are Vortex Talons in 8X40, they are very difficult to put on.As you try to use both hands to get them to stretch far enough, the eyecups on the binoculars are rotating under the pressure and most times when you finally get them on they are in the wrong position and since you can't rotate them once installed, you have to start all over again.If I get them on correctly, they work great. They do the job well and are very comfortable. I still intend to wrestle them on for birding a nearby marsh where the early morning sun is at right angles to my direction of view often.The main issue is that like most things that are "universal" fit they are not. Perhaps offering them in 2 sizes would help.And don't forget that you will have to remove them every time you need to install your dust caps..

They appear to do the job for which they were created, so they get a five star rating for functionality. An added plus is that they fold back onto the binocular so they can be stowed, while still attached to the binocular, inside it's case. The reason for the 4 star rating is the less than stellar condition they arrived in. The soft aluminum tin came in a large bubble wrap manila envelope: the bubble insert was not enough to protect the tin. I wouldn't have cared about the condition of the tin if it was only for my use,however, I was giving it as a gift along side the binoculars I bought from Amazon.

Read the reviews and the description on the product. Bought two sets and must say the jury is still out. I'm not sure if I like them or not. Will need to use them more before I can make a good recommendation.

These winged eye cups for standard size indeed do shield out unwanted stray light from the eyepieces, they easily go on and do stay on, yet are easily removed to be used on another pair of binoculars. They are especially useful with binoculars with hard eye pieces; I won't recommend them for use with eyeglasses - the wings get in the way. Light and flexible, they're easy to carry in the ready bag (the attractive and useful metal box they came in is better for just storage).Price/Shipping just right, very pleasant and professional transaction in all respects. I recommend this manufacturer and his product in the highest possible terms

Standard size too small to fit on my 25x70 celestron binocular. Also, no instructions provided. Fits on my 10x50 well, but feels a little thin.

Pretty nifty. Blocks out other light well and fits well after 1 year of use.
