A: Yes, this is compatible with the GreenWorks G-Max 40v line.

**Q: I have a spare 2.0ah 40v green works battery. Could this be used to power the mower as a backup when both 4.0ah batteries are depleted?**
A: You can in an emergency. But...be careful. There is a reason that 4 Amp battery is used.
