Russell Hobbs 0.8L Portable Glass Electric Water Boiler

I have a 1.7L kettel but I felt I was boiling too much water each time (the minimum water level on that was 600ml), and I was getting limescale on the kettle because I didn't use all the water and would top up to make the next boil.I started looking around for a smaller kettle that would be more suited for a single person household.Found this nifty little kettle. It was a bit more expensive than the plastic (travel size) kettles, but I do prefer a glass kettle to plastic ones.Been using it for 2 months now and I am very pleased with it. The water boils quickly, holds just enough for me to make a cup of tea/coffee, and nice and light to hold. And the kettle looks nice with the blue light too.Would recommend anyone who just want to boil enough water for a cup or 2 at a time.

With such a high price point (£45.99 at time of purchase), I was hesitant to buy this product for my kitchen (which has minimal countertop space). However, after some research and looking into reviews, decided to close my eyes and press the order button. Best decision I’ve ever made!Pros:- Small, takes up minimal countertop space (ideal for small kitchens or offices)- Very quick boil time- Uses less electricity than regular sized kettleCons:- Glass kettle so watermarks are inevitableOverall, This is an excellent product, would highly recommend making the splurge because we all deserve this fancy, cute little kettle :)

Have had this kettle a couple of days now, bought the compact kettle as a 1.5 to 1.7 ltr kettles are too big for my needs.I would of preferred this kettle to be 1ltr as my other kettles have been, but not really an issue as I have a Beko 1.7ltr glass kettle for when visitors stay. [see Beko review]I wanted a glass kettle hoping it wouldn't have foul tasting water and it DOESN'T so no worries there.Kettle boils fast at 2200 watts, some people have said the kettle is slower to boil than their last one, if their last one was 3000 watts then it would be slower, on the other hand if your previous kettle was 2000 watts then this one will be faster.This kettle appears to be well made and looks like it should last and does have a 2 year guarantee plus another year if registering online.After reading blurb for glass kettles I did notice that cheaper models which gave the information say that the Schott glass is safe up to 150c on another more expensive kettle [name escapes me] the temp, rating was 450c so not all glass kettles are equalThe measurements are in metric or cups, having read reviews and people have differing cup amounts here is what I found, one 1970s cup of water comes just below the 1 cup mark, one standard mug comes up to the 1 cup mark and one large mug equals 1.5 cups on the scale.The kettle is easy to lift [for those with arthritis in hands] also pours well BUT water can come out of lid if tipped too far . easy to fill and doesn't take up as much space as a 1.7ltr kettle.People have said this kettle is expensive and compared to a £10 one, it is, but saying that, my first none automatic electric kettle bought in 1976 for £10 [cheaper model as wages back then were £25pw ] would now cost £80 with inflation [those were the days]

Super fast to boil, no chemical/plasticy taste. Has a nice blue light when boiling. Compact, yet still holds enough water for 2 large mugs. Looks really stylish! We have ours in the bedroom, so wanted something that looked nice, and so we don't have to go downstairs to make tea. Sits on top of a tray with drawers for milk sachets and a variety of teabags underneath. I plugged mine into an Alexa enabled plug, and fill it up the night before, and push the switch down. Then in the morning, all I have to do is ask Alexa to boil the kettle. Or set it to a timer.

I am effectively living in a bed-sitter so space is really at a premium. I needed a small kettle for cups of tea where I can see how much water is being boiled and this one fits the bill very well, plus. The diameter is a little bigger than I wanted, but acceptable. It boils very fast. The lid opening and closing mechanisms are light to the touch and reliable. Lifting the kettle turns it off - most appreciated. Being glass, it does not add a taste to the water. I would have liked more level marks indicating quantity of water, but not a big deal. It is a delight to use.

Extremely pleased with this kettle.I bought this after an operation and needed a light kettle. It's perfect, light and very easy for measuring the number of cups due to its glass body, making it environmentally efficient; no waste of water or electricity. It boils very quickly and the blue light is a lovely touch.

I bought this to save on electric and so far so good, it uses less power than my old kettle and boils one cup faster than my old kettle could boil its minimum of 2 cups. From my calculations as long as this kettle lasts as long as my old one it will pay for itself in saved electricity making 3 cups per day in 6 years time.There is not much variety for good (not travel) compact kettles I found. Russel Hobbs is not what it once used to be so I was weary but the kettle hasn't broken so so far so good. However it does have some flaws.For starters the kettle is no longer see through after just 1 week. Let me clarify... the kettle has built up so much limescale the glass is completely white - after 1 week. Cleaning vinegar clears it up but will need a weekly wash or it will be a white kettle.The handle is what ruins this kettle. Everything is fairly solid looking but the handle is hollow to save a bit of plastic. This hollow bit cannot be cleaned but it is visible through the glass. Well mine now has a dirty water dribble and a lot of condensation - which cannot be cleaned running down it.The inside of the kettle condenses with moisture making it not very see through most of the time.Apart from its flaws it is still a decent kettle and I don't know of a better alternative apart from an instant hot water dispenser (which from my research takes as long to boil as this kettle)

Produit qui marche bien, rapide et facile à utiliser. Par contre, pour nettoyer à l'intérieur c'est un peu galère.Fait aussi pas mal de bruit mais sa rapidité compense. Produit que j'utilise tous les jours, notamment pour faire bouillir l'eau des pâtes fraiches. C'est validé pour moi.
