Easy to eat on the go
Some brands turn my stomach after eating but these go down fine. I normally have one of these 15mins before a 25 mile time trial or crit race and top up 20min in with a faster release carb gel.Tastes as ok.

Had one of these and set a PB
I’ve used high5 gels previously and liked them. I read and used one of these as per the instructions prior to my last TT and set a PB. Not sure if it was related but certainly didn’t do any harm.

Great for emergency
Great to keep in my rucksack for when meals are delayed. This allows me to manage my sugar levels when im out doing photography. It was a godsend when I was ill and could only eat liquids. Once used put the sachet in a plastic bag as the remaining gel uses further than you think.

The best energy gel (currently) for any endurance sport
An English Channel veteran and swim coach recommended High5 Slow Release to me – it’s proven an excellent recommendation. I have tried numerous energy gels for endurance events, but this High5 Slow Release is the best I’ve found.The issue with most alternative gels is their sugar content is often too high, resulting in an eventual energy crash. Some other gels have electrolytes but inadequate energy for long-distance events. However, the High5 Slow Release gels have the correct energy source (isomaltulose, a low GI carbohydrate) for endurance events. Additionally, they include the requisite electrolytes for exertion in the heat or multi-hour exercise.In short, I highly recommend these gels for any endurance sport. They are easy to take and digest mid-event, taste fine (as gels go), and work well.
