Easy perfect crimps
I needed to crimp Dupont jst and molex connectors and originally bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016B39EPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_HSJ44V8HDR1QYSEDH7S9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 which has jaws that meet at an angle and is a bit thicker and didn't work well for me because the edge of the connector sat approximately 2mm inside the clamp making it darn near impossible to tell how far you had inserted the stripped wire. These crimper truly are for the tiny connectors, making it easy to get great crimps on them. They are thinner making it easy to see how far to insert the wire and the parallel jaw closure means that the crimps are even and straight. I followed a YouTube video link to find these and am glad I did. I made four perfect crimps straight out of the package in less than 6 minutes (most of that time was spent lining up the connectors and stripping wires), with the first tool I struggled for 90 minutes with 6 rejects...

Awesome tool.
Worked great. Ratchet function and lock allowed me to hold the small pin to insert cable. Worked great!

Didn't work properly for me
I bought this to assemble some Molex connectors, it crimped too tightly on 20 ga wire and destroyed the pin. I got it to work by only lightly crimping and manually releasing the ratchet.

Terrible tool
This was a waste of my money. It is overly bulky and because it has the ratcheting feature, it pretty much destroys the connectors and wires I am trying to crimp. The overall thickness of the tool is massive and hard to use for smaller connectors. and lastly, the whole set up of this tool is terrible for what I am trying to use it for. the location of the actual crimping area is awkward to manipulate into and nearly impossible to see what the alignment of your wire/connector. This might work better with larger connectors but it useless to my purpose of fine wires and pin connectors. Hate it and will end up in the bottom of my tool box, never to see the light of day again most likely.

Great Crimping Tool however the new version is better
I really like this crimping tool but the orange and black new design is better. This one is just more basic and plasticky. I returned this one and bought the orange one, because when You need to use them a lot the orange one is more comfortable.

Not a great crimper
I had high hopes for this crumpet to set the pins for futaba style connectors. It compresses too much and cuts the aluminum pins very easily. It took a while to finally get a usable connector

Easy to use
I used this tool to crimp mini terminals when installing a car stereo. It is easy to use, but sometimes it gets stuck when crimping.

Used? + Annoying ratchet lock!
Aside from the product looking far from brand new (greasy, fingerprints, marked up), the ratchet mechanism that is listed as a feature is the worst design flaw about this crimper. If the handles are fully squeezed together, unless you have super tiny fingers you'll have to grab some other skinny tool to get between the handles to unlock the ratchet and release the handles to allow the jaws to open. It works, if you manage to get the jaws open. I'll probably return it. I would not purchase it again or recommend it. It really puts the integrity of "Amazon's Recommendations" into question.
