Beautiful gift, great value!
This BMR doll was a release for their throwback to the original 1959 release date, under the initials of Barbie's full name: Barbara Millicent Roberts (BMR1959). Arrived in an outer box with a sticker warning not to release to public until June 2020, and although I ordered this item in August 2020, far past it's official release date, it was a cool feeling to still be able to unbox it with a warning sticker on it. Inside was an inner shoe box kind of storage that's collector- worthy, with the "BMR1959" printed nicely on the front and side. Upon opening, there's an inner tissue paper overlay with the repeated BMR1959 print. I think I paid $29.99 for this doll, but it felt like high-end, collector worthy packaging, very exciting!Complete with stand, this BMR doll is super pretty and fun- her hair is so soft and luxurious, her clothes are awesome and unique street style- even her nails are painted to match her cool, peacock colored makeup! My youngest daughter just LOVES it. A bargain at $29.99. I'll definitely be looking into the rest of the BMR line now for unique, gorgeous, and (finally!) diverse barbies. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and gift this item!

Beautiful petite doll, prettier face in person.
She is adorable and tiny! I have her pictured with the MTM BMR1959 manbun doll and an original body type OOAK barbie for size points. Her clothing is well made, the orange top and bottom won't fit other sized dolls but the jacket will. I wasnt personally a fan of her buns so I took them out, washed and conditioned her hair and then straightened it as best I could. I'm still trying to retrain it to lay more flat, but it's a lot cuter now! This particular dolls eyes and lips were a tad bit off from when they are supposed to be but it's not enough to make me want to exchange her. She is even more flexible than her larger counterparts due to the unique shape of the upper thighs on petite dolls. I forgot to picture her earrings. Overall I'm very impressed and hope that they come out with more skin tones for a petite doll!!! Oh also, her tone is a tad bit lighter than the newer MTM dark skinned yoga doll with her hair in a high ponytail, but only slightly.

Stunning, Elegant, Collectible and TALL.
This doll is stunning! She's beautifully crafted and her fashion is glamorous and looks comfortable as well. Her hair is smooth, sleek and shiny. I don't recommend her for small children, the box says ages 6 to adult and I recommend her more for middle school age and doll collectors to maintain her condition. She comes with a certificate of authenticity and the box is unique to this collectible line. Also, she's SUPER tall, even out of her boots, feet flat on the table, she towers over regular sized Barbies, and is about half a head taller than the curvy made-to-move Barbie.

2 stars for the Ken doll, 3 stars for the tall doll and 5 stars for the petite doll.
I love the petite doll and gave her 5 stars! She is adorable! I love the tall doll's face but her hair color wasn't even in front. The boots weren't symmetrical and the pattern on the outfit is off center. Her nail polish is also chipped. Sadly, I found this doll pricey for what I received and that's why I gave the doll 3 stars. The Ken doll was a disappointment. His hair isn't flocked and the two dolls I received had a visible imprint of the letter" J" on the left side of their head. One doll's hair paint was smudged and the other doll had a loose leg. I believe the replacement doll I received was a return because he was partially removed from his packaging as well. The quality wasn't there for the price. I gave the Ken dolls 2 stars and returned them. The first BMR wave Ken doll with the rooted hair was far better in my opinion.

Beautiful doll. Elbow doesn't bend as far as other 'made to move' dolls
My daughter received the Barbie BMR 1959 doll for her birthday. She loves it except that the elbow joint doesn't bend as far as her other Made to Move Barbie doll. We'd love to know if that is standard on all of the Barbies in this line, or if it's just hers and we should be asking about a replacement. She would love the increased mobility if possible. It is a beautiful doll and she loves how the Barbie looks and the beautiful facial detail.Update: We were nervous to try bending the joint for fear of breaking the doll, but we carefully worked it and now the Barbie has full mobility. My daughter is SO EXCITED! Now 5 stars

Cute doll, legs were messed up.
I was really excited about this doll... I've been wanting a darker skin tone, shorter but mature doll to use in displays to represent my friend. She's so adorable, the package was protected by being placed inside another box... no damage to the package . The doll was not scratched or damaged other then a factory issue. The back of the legs looks like a different material then the rest of the body, it's matte instead of the sheen that the doll has. This might not be a big deal for others but I'm pretty upset over it, I really wanted to show her off in shorts and skirts but I'm kind of annoyed by the difference. I Still love the doll and the design. I hope they will make more of the short dolls in different skin tones on the made to move body.I also got a male bmr doll with red hair, he is very handsome, no damage. The bmr dolls both have pixelated facial features, he has freckles and they are shiny, might bother some but I think he's cute.

Lovely doll with cute versatile outfit
This is the first Barbie doll I bought as an adult and this is the doll that started my Barbie obsession. I didn’t think much of her when I saw her online but in person, she is absolutely gorgeous! I’m in love with her and she is the reason why I started collecting Barbies in my adulthood. I didn’t love the outfit she came with so I re-dressed her but her original clothes are amazing quality, just not my style. She is taller than regular Barbie and has a pale skin tone.
