Great book. I received an advanced copy for review and have bought the published copy. Excellent collection of tools and techniques to assist the average person in getting themselves out of situations. Practice of course still needs to happen but the book is a great place to start!

Not much in this book was new information for me (maybe 2 pages were something I didn't know). I am by no means an expert on these things, but for me, this was all common knowledge and I feel like I wasted $10. I guess someone could benefit from this - it just seemed pretty basic information, common sense type 'stuff.'

Informative and well written, packed with information.

This book offers a lot of tips, good tips but one thing that is at the top of my mind is to maintain the presence of mind. All the good things this book has to offer would be for naught if you loose your mind.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I am a woman involved in martial arts and self defense. In reviewing this book, I found the first part about evading danger very similar to self defense techniques. I found Sam Fury had condensed and simplified many basics for the average person. It's easy to understand and straight forward. I found the second part of the book about escaping, quite interesting. There are tidbits of information that are widely available, yet not widely known and gathered into one place for easy access and learning. Overall, I enjoyed the book and found it interesting and very useful as an overall reminder of the basics, with a few surprising basic instructions in lesser known skills.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

*SPOILERS* I have given general information in the book. I don't believe I gave any particular spoilers, but wanted to tag just in case I did.I have been reading this book and so far it's full of good information. It not only has information about escaping capture (which could be more a reality than most people realize, especially in foreign countries- much of the world doesn't like Americans and look for easy naive targets traveling alone). It's got information about internet security and safeguard your home and hotel room. Some of these things I do by habit, from my military days. Other things I have thought about and failed to implement. Things in this book are more than just good movies. It's practical information that in my opinion everyone should have and read!

This book was not only helpful but it was very informational as well. Hopefully I will never be in the position to use the advice in this book. It was fantastic.

Ce livre n’est que la répétition d’autres ouvrages, écrits par de vrais spécialistes. Il es sans nouveauté, sans créativité, sans apport personnel, sans intérêt.Il vaut mieux acheter tous les autres sur ce thème que celui là.Pour la première fois de ma vie j’ai mis un livre à la poubelle.
