Nice, but Cat Dependent
Over time, I have purchased three different brand and style felted wool cat caves, and all of them have really been hit or miss depending on the cat. This one is no exception, but I'll point out a few things which may assist in a decision to get one.For many years I raised bengals and bengal mixes, and in my experience they tend to be "cold" cats. Their lack of undercoat I believe gave them the propensity to seek out warm spots, and they were definitely the types to burrow under blankets and stick to heating pads and radiators like a magnet. More often than not, these are just flattened down into a normal bed surface rather than cave for them to climb into (to visualize their surroundings better), but either way one or two cats were always enjoying the insulating warmth of the wool. The texture was even a huge hit. So for cats that like to "burrow", curl up, or constantly seek out heat, then a cave is an absolute necessity. Now in our current pet family, we have two floofy kittens which seem to share many qualities with the Siberian breed. These boys are huge, weighing over 8lbs at 6 months, and have very dense medium to long hair. Used to cold kitties, I eventually packed up two heating pads and a heated blanket, and even moved our space heater away from the cat tree, because they are just not about it. They are not the kind to curl up and burrow, so most of our normal cat beds were even going unused. They prefer the cold hardwood floor, sprawling out to air their tummies, and a crate pad is the only bed which they have taken to at all, just because of how they like to lay all out. They just adore when we open the window for them when it is literally freezing temps out. All of this should have clued me into just how a cat cave would work for them, yet I still purchased this.Being that they are kittens, this has worked for us by means of being a play piece more than anything. Still, they prefer braided cotton baskets even over this. When one of them attempts to humor me by crawling inside to potentially take a nap, they usually exit after five minutes and settle somewhere else. They're cats. It's all about preferences, so do with this what you will.Compared to other caves we've owned, this is slightly thinner than previous (and more expensive) ones, but I actually like that better. This felt substantial enough in quality to hold shape and keep warmth, but not too bulky. There is also less felt shedding and wire-y scraps. The color is gorgeous! I will say that getting the shape to sit properly has been a bit of a challenge due to the way that it was packed and flattened, with the bottom being creased. Any cats using it regular or really working with it should round it out nicely. We've had it for two weeks with minimal use, and it's acceptable in shape. This was purchased as a "medium" which by the advertised dimensions matched most other brands' large. I'm anticipating our kittens to get to a minimum of 15lbs each, so I wanted something they can fit in together and/or grow into. At their current sizes, they can both fit with room to spare. Definitely a good size for large cats.

Cats love their new beds more than they love me, and I feed them
I have three male cats ages 8, 2, and 1, weighing 16lb's, 14lb's, and 10lb's, and three of these beds in the medium size. They're very generously sized beds, and my 16lb'er, Roscoe McFatty Pants, has no trouble getting in and out of, laying or sleeping comfortably, in these beds. They took to them right away, which never happens unless I'm presenting them with a cardboard box. I expect it's a combination of the wool and the enclosed shape they love so much. The little wool mice are a big hit, too, and a nice gesture from the company. These beds are beautifully made, heavy, and feel solid, not at all cheap and flimsy. They're of a shape and material cats love and I expect they'll keep them nice and toasty during the winter months. Beautiful beds, and I would not hesitate to purchase them again.

Good quality product; recommended
Item arrived folded flat. Stuffed with towels and let it sit overnight. Not an absolutely perfect shape as in photograph (that would probably require steaming), but still has a good shape that it has retained (fortunately no one has thought to sit on it). Put a small blanket inside for padding. My cats immediately checked it out but currently mostly prefer sitting/sleeping by the radiator as it is cold here. I purchased a second one so each cat can have a cave, although they could probably both fit in one. I anticipate more usage once it gets warmer outside. The blue is a very nice color and the quality of the felt seems good. No smell, no shedding, and the interior of the first one I bought held up to one of my cats having a clawing fit inside it. The felt mice toys were a bonus that my cats like. Don't know yet how these will hold up to cleaning, but I am pleased with these cat caves.

XL sized Medium Cave
I ordered the green medium felt pet cave. I’ve been wanting one of these for a while for my cat. He is a small cat, MAYBE 7#. Well this cave has enough room inside for him and his little man attitude. We do have a BIG maincoon cat that is close to a 25 pounder, does absolutely nothing other than eat, pee, poop, sleep. The medium cave would absolutely fit him even in all his fat boy fabulousness. I will likely pass this. l medium cave on to the maincoon and get little man a small cave.Little cat loves this thing. I also purchased a crinkle sushi mat at the same time and put it inside the cave just for fun. The cave swallows the play mat, but my little cat doesn’t seem to mind one bit. There’s loads of room inside for him and the mat. This is a rich dark clover green color, like a dark kelly - not a hunter green, not an olive green. The cave is expensive looking and absolutely will outlive the cardboard cat houses we have. This thing is well made, unless our dogs decide it’s a play toy, I feel like this will last a LONG time. Little cat gets swallowed up by this cave, like - can’t even see him in there… but he must be comfy bc he absolutely loves it. It does not come with a cushion inside, but he doesn’t seem to care.Overall, if you’re thinking of buying a felt pet cave, do it. I’d say if you have a 12 pound cat or smaller, go for the small cave. I’d say if you have a cat between 15-25 pounds, the medium will be plenty big. If your cat is massive, consider the large.Would I recommend the cave for a dog….. ehhh… I guess if your dog was small and liked to den or bury itself. Consider the opening to be about the size of a medium pot…. If you have a small Yorkie/Pom/Chihuahua I’d go medium for a dog. If you have a Westie or small fit Beagle, go Large. Otherwise, I’m not seeing this thing work for a much bigger dog than an 18” fit beagle.

Love it
My cat just loves his wool cave. They love the wool material, very warm and cozy inside and worth every penny. I have two, one in the basement where it is cool and he is snuggled in, warm. You can wash, but I give it a good vacuum now and then and it does not retain any smells. My cat is a large Norwegian Forrest with very long fur and over 20lb and he fits perfectly in this large size. Happy cat, I have had many cheaper material ones in the past but don’t hold up to the quality and longevity of this one. Holds its shape. I can’t say enough good things about it

Great size for a bigger cat.
My 8 kg 60cm long kitty loves it! Enough space to relax (as depicted) and not have to be curled up all the time. He uses it every day, most of the day. Considering getting second one for another room, but first will test whether wool fibers are real wool. We are very happy with the purchase!UPD: did fire check of the fibers that bed is made of, there is definitely wool in it.Most importantly, my cat loves it and uses it everyday! Will get a second one when the price goes down a bit.

Kitty loves the Feltcave
I realized my kitty didn’t have a warm cave-bed for winter. I love my Glerups felted slippers so much because they keep my icy feet warm, so I decided to go with the more expensive Feltcave bed. Lily likes being warm and will sometimes crawl under the covers. Once it arrived Lily hopped into it and didn’t leave for hours. So I immediately ordered a second Feltcave for my second floor. Lily loves these beds and she loves being all cosy inside the cave. The beds are substantial, thick, sturdy, warm and worth every penny. My felted slippers cost 1/3 more than the beds, for example, so I don’t find them particularly expensive. Also, I love that the beds are handmade by Nepali women in Katmandú. You’ll see from the photos that Lily sometimes curls up on top of the downstairs bed. A great gift for the beloved cats in your life.

Nice looking but needs a pad for the base
Came with a free cat toy which unfortunately the cats preferred to the bed. Have had more success with it after adding a thick mat for the base.
