Heavy Duty Portable
AWSOME tool! I use this tool for changing tires on my three vehicles including my 1 ton PU truck which requires the lug nuts to be tightened down with 350 lb of torque. This brute is more than adequate for this job and is great for removing large. rusted nuts and bolts. It replaces my old Dewalt 18V impact and I just love the increase of power over the Dewalt. Having other Bosch 18V lithium tools and having multiple batteries it was a no-brainer buying this one and thanks to Amazon I was able to purchase at a very affordable price.K.B.

AWESOME tool, worth every penny.
AWESOME!!!! It busts off the toughest nuts and bolts. My air gun has been retired, this one is stronger. I brought two batteries and they charge last a long time. I chose the Bosch after researching all the 1/2 inch cordless impact guns.

Great Tool if you can get it for what I paid. Improper torque rating.
I was able to get this model for approximately $165 +TAX, which is competitive with Milwaukee. If you have to pay more, I would bump this review down to three stars. As other reviewers have stated, there is no way this thing comes close to 500 foot pounds of torque. It is worth note that the competitive brands are also improperly rated so Bosch is not alone in this area. I would be surprised if we don't see some legal actions taking place in the future in regard to these ratings. Thanks to the people who had already reviewed this item, I knew to expect only about 250 ft-lbs of torque prior to making my purchase. I have a high capacity air impact for use on stubborn jobs or large trucks, so the lack of top end torque wasn't an issue for me. I wanted this for F150 maintenance and remote site use.I have already done a few jobs that would have required me to transport my air compressor. It's nice not having to drag the air hose around, but not having to transport a large air compressor for an off-site job is AWESOME! If the MSRP would drop below $175 and Bosch would re-define their absurd torque rating, I would give them five stars.

Great product!
Their is no way to measure the actual strength of an impact gun. The specs that exist are bassed on a test rig that while repeatable does not factor in stiction or the yeild of various fasteners and drivers. What I can say is that I've yet to meet a bolt this impact would not break loose and I work on classic motor coaches that have often sat and rusted for decades before coming to me for restoration. Suspension and chassis bolts are rather large on these vehicles and this impact has done the trick with every one.

Da bomb!
This isn't a lightweight tool but yesterday it broke loose my axel bolt on my Kawasaki. It was torqued at 86 foot pounds. Breaks my lig nuts with ease. I love the thing.

Bare tool seems to mean instructions not included...
The front is heavy until you add a battery, then it is more balanced and stable. I am using this tool to remove/install lug nuts on my Mustang GT and they are rated at 150 FT/LBS. I am removing two stars for 2 issues: One I do not see any way to turn off the work light, so you are not able to leave the battery attached for long times, also it seems to have a timeout setting that if you leave the battery attached for about 10 minutes without using the wrench the wrench will turn off, and since I do not have any other information I have just been taking the battery out and putting it back in...that takes time.
