Sherlock Holmes: The Essential Mysteries in One Sitting (RP Minis)

I just love this series of mini books by Running Press! As with the other titles I’ve purchased, “Sherlock Holmes” is beautifully bound with plenty of black/white drawings to compliment the excellent synopsis of 12 of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most memorable Sherlock Holmes stories. A section about the “life” of Sherlock Holmes as well as a brief description of memorable characters from the tales are included as well. So much information packed into such a small book which, even though I wear tri-focals, I was able to read with no trouble. Hoping more titles will be available in the future!

Dear author Jennifer, please know that I do not mean anything bad, to you, as to your writing, but-- the reason that I do not like this book is because somehow (I must not have understood, or, read your description? correct?), but, well: I THOUGHT IT WAS the ACTUAL stories, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but THESE are NOT... they are SUMMARIES (overviews) ... thus, not essential mysteries :( (to me, essential meant the real words of the author) ... I thought this was a mini-collection of 'essential' mysteries, from DOYLE's work, in one sitting... *I won't send it back, as, it seems like a waste of work for all concerned, but, I will find someone to give it to, :) (most likely your intentions were good, but, SURE WISH the books was PRESENTED clearer, for what it really was... (thought your name was there, as to how the inside was set-up, and introduced) ... *ps: for those that give gifts, for readers, as simple general stories, presented by a second voice, this would be cute, in those respects) .
