Great, but the instructions should be clearer
Very impressed with this so far. The instructions should be better, and there are some critical reviews which wouldn't be there if the instructions were just a little clearer. Read the 'Troubleshooting' section before you try and use it.That said, once you realise you need to loosen to retaining ring of the cutter first (or even completely remove the ring and place over the main body first), it works really well - with caveats...If you have a really sharp knife, don't worry about the cutter element and just swiftly cut the extruded pasta as and when.Make your pasta mix as you normally would, but stop at the bread crumb stage - don't knead it! Leaving it to rest in an air tight container will still help though.EDIT: I'm assuming here you're using a food processor to get the mix to the breadcrumb stageAs it says in the 'Troubleshooting' section of the instructions don't put too much of the mix into the feed tube at a time, it needs room the churn. If you can't see the scroll turning, don't add any more - slow and steady wins here, roughly a desert spoon worth at a time. I use speed 1 on my Kenwood Chef.If you put too much in, it will stop working and you'll likely need to disassemble the attachment to clear it.The attachment gets warm, so leave it a while when you're done or you'll find it difficult to disassemble. One photo is of Bucatini made with this attachment, another is of the pasta mix I used for the final photo of radiatore pasta.

Top notch Kenwood product
This was bought as a Christmas present for a family member. It is very well made, looks great and seems to be up to the usual Kenwood product quality.

3rd time lucky
The first 2 i received would not dismantle. They were stuck solid and i think it is due to the threads being quite rough and not smooth on the body and locking nut.The 3rd one did come apart but when i reassembled it it got stuck, although i eventually managed to separate it.The other issue is with the cutter and it isn't clear from the instructions that you need to remove the locking nut from the body leaving the die in place and then unscrew the cutter assembly from its plastic insert slightly before attaching it to the body and then re-tighten it.

Little bit of a fiddle….
It’s a little bit of a fiddle to put together and get it attached but once you’ve finished it’s all down to finding the perfect consistency for the pasta mix. This was bought as a Xmas present for my wife however due to her arthritic hands she needed me to put it all together and, at times, even I struggled a bit.The advert was a little bit misleading regarding the inserts however the two we got was of very good quality, made of brass, but I feel that the cost involved in purchasing the full set would be outwith most ordinary folks finances. My wife loves her mixer, it gets a fair amount of use, but whether we buy more pasta inserts is questionable right now!

Bad luck with this one.
Mine came probably once returned already. Had a hitting marks on cutter ring and cut my finger on it as didn't notice at first. Couldn't put the cutter on pasta shaper, watched video on you tube and realised it was faulty, a ring should unscrew but this one didn't. It was like stuck on glue and impossible to move.Returned for refund today.Pasta shaper itself is very good and I already ordered next one directly from Kenwood. Hope for better luck this time. I know it will be used a lot by me.One thing someone mentioned it comes just with one die. You can buy more of those, no problem, just pricy cause material used is as well.

Only one pasta insert.
For only one type of pasta attachment, the price is outrageous. On top of that, you can't get other inserts. The mentioned set of 12 is not available. A few individual inserts cost A LOT!

Robusto, funzionale e...
