Product Description The Shamrock Pitcher is in the basketweave design with handpainted shamrocks painted around the piece. A basket-weave textured embossment inside and out adds plenty of optical interest to the body of this piece. Lifelike shamrocks are hand-painted to add to the natural look and feel. Four green shamrocks connect to the lip by thin green stems. More shamrocks grow from the green and brown colored handle, and feather out around both sides of the jug. The handle is convincingly basket-like, and painted with earthy tones. A knot at the bottom of the handle offers more stability when lifting. Renowned basket weaver, Michael Maguire, brought his weaving talents to Belleek Pottery in the 1880's, and thus, Belleek's Shamrock pattern was born.
