30 feet? not even 5 feet...
I have been looking around for a bluetooth solution that would allow me to stream music through my stereo. I bought this from Fry's electronics after the salesman explained that it was the exact product I had been looking for but didn't know existed. I was ecstatic! After getting it home and unpackaged, I put set it up and paired successfully to my iPhone. It started out great for the first minute or two.....then Murphy's Law attacked. It started skipping the music, first a few seconds at a time, then later up to several minutes before I got fed up with it. I googled for possible solutions and found that my 2.4ghz wireless network might be interfering with it. I then lowered the transmission power of my router to the lowest setting (25%) and it seemed to start working. I got about 5 minutes of (almost) uninterrupted music to my stereo before it started skipping like before. Oh, during this whole fiasco, my phone was sitting on the coffee table about 5 feet from the sony receiver with a direct line of sight. This of course is MUCH closer than the advertised 30 feet. I ended up returning it and buying the Xantech BDXTT from amazon with which I am MUCH happier.

Good for Blue tooth headphone and cheaper that most others
This is great for my beats wireless and has petty good range in my apt even though the walls. Only et down is that it doesn't work off the headphone power.

Sony HWS-BTA2W does not work with Sony SBH50 headset
I am very disappointed! I bought this device in order to connect to my Sony headset SBH50. The idea was connect HWS (TX Mode) to my TV BOX thru the audio out and use my headset sony SBH50 to receive the sound comming from my BOX. The HWS do not pair with my headset. Both are from Sony but they cant talk to each other.

Love the ability to enjoy phone, tablet or PC audio through the home stereo system
Audio relayed through this device is much more enjoyable, providing a full range of the audio spectrum. In plain English I love it.

Don't Buy This Product If You're Attempting to Stream Anything But An I-Phone
Simply put, this product does not work with Blackberry Phones! In order to even hear the music I'm attempting to stream from my Blackberry Torch thru this Sony Bluetooth Transmitter, I have to turn the volume on my 700watt Receiver up to 70! Even at this high volume level I can only faintly hear my music and what I can hear is completely falt, with no high's or low's. I'll have to end up reselling this product on EBay. as I've recycled the original packaging.
