Many do not know that that Jehovah witnesses suffered in the concentration campus. They would not show allegiance to Hitler.Their allegiance is to God Jehovah .

Such a good story
We don't often hear about Holocaust victims who were Jehovah's Witnesses. This little girl did not suffer the way her parents did, but she went through her own kind of suffering and we don't often hear things from the child's point of view. It was a good story, a little difficult for me as a mother to read sometimes but I did like it and it was easy to read so younger people or people who don't like to read might find this book easier.

Sew with tears, return with a joyful cry
The strict self control taught and accepted by this family helped them to successfully endure. I was especially encouraged by Simone's prayer that Jehovah answered to help her only speak in French when talking in her sleep. This book gives abundant evidence that Jehovah can help us remain faithful even under the greatest test.

An encouraging story of youthful Christian courage.
A sharing of d the experience of youthful Christian courage during the Nazi Regime. Hitler stated that he was determined to wipe Jehovah's Witnesses off of the map. But was he successful? NO. Jehovah's witnesses are alive and prospering not obly in Germany and surrounding countries, but throughout the entire world. This experience is key to the fact that truth, loyalty and endurance are not dependent on external factors but on the heart.

Sadly Attacks on JW’s Still going on to this day
So good I purchased the audiobookIt is way longer and the information is very very enlightening. If you persecute Jews today you are anti Semitic! If they persecute Jehovah’s Witnesses you still see nations get away with it.Look up who are putting them in prison, beating, abusing, taking property and bank accounts without recourse for their actions.

An important story.
The horrors of WW2 affected millions, but behind those massive figures are personal stories. This is the story of a girl who stood up for her faith in the face of the Nazis. An inspiring account, that is being relived right now in Russia. It's not just history, it's relevant today.

Important first-hand account, with supporting documentation
September 2009 marks seventy years since the outbreak of World War Two. The passage of time makes it ever more important that those who witnessed the events of that terrible era, commit their experiences to paper. Such accounts, along with supporting documentation where available, help to preserve truth and to form a bulwark against "revisionist historians".This account by Simone Arnold Leibster is a very good example of what can and should be done. As a little girl growing up in Alsace-Lorraine, (a region it has been my great pleasure to visit) Simone's parents became Jehovah's Witnesses, and Simone learned and followed their Christian faith. The early chapters of the book describe their happy, loving and nurturing family life. While the pace of the early chapters may seem a little slow, these chapters are important in building a detailed picture of life as it was then, and in showing in detail the developing effects on people of the looming Nazi war machine. The refusal of Jehovah's Witnesses to become part of that war machine brings the break-up of Simone's family, as her parents are arrrested and she is put into a centre to be "re-educated".The re-uniting of the family at the end of the War shows that the horrors they have each experienced left each of them emotionally deeply scarred. This is very well described in the closing chapters. The developing changes in the attitudes of people around the start oif the war are very well described. It is particularly useful, too, that Mrs Liebster has a generous Appendices section, with background information about Alsace-Lorraine, and official documents relating to her and her family. The extract reproduced from her High School Biology Textbook is particularly fascinating and chilling, showing how attitudes of racial superiority were fostered in schools. Reproduced school class photos, and family letters, are very touching. It's important that this book was written, and especially interesting and important that such good supporting historical and family documentation is included. As the World War Two generation ages and dwindles, it is to be hoped that others with stories to tell, and personal documents to support them, should get them onto paper, and published.

Brave & Faithful
Follow as a cruel regime did its best to break our little sister. Her absolute trust in Jehovah made her invincible as she stood alone & faced the lion!Be aware. Such treatment is still going on to this day. Persecution & imprisonment. Satan trying in vane to break Jehovah’s people worldwide.A great read to boost our moral.

Inspiring & Brave True Story... that you can hardly believe
An overwhelmingly moving, emotional and truly brave story of a little girl who refused to honour a sick regime. You will have so many emotions in the process of reading the book, no matter what faith you come from or nationality you are. I was warmed by Simone's love and the love of her family and friends, her "bothers and sisters". I had hatred for her persecutors which seemed to be cooled by force from the peaceable spirit of this child's story. The reader will have much admiration for the faith and determination of this little girl. It is so typical for those in power to treat the peaceable so fierce because at such a time as the Nazi war, the peaceable were the main threat for the political powers.Simone, although only a little girl at the time, was hated and persecuted not because of her race or background but because she refused to be racist. The book helps confirm nationalism and patriotism are both next to racism, no matter how hard we try it breeds like poison.Totally recommend for all ages. Read it to small children also, it will make them stronger to stand up to peer pressure in whatever their belief.
