Works as advertised

It makes no sense that a solid piece of metal like this can tighten to a specific torque value, right?These sticks work because of the nature of an impact wrench: As the resistance increases, your impact wrench applies force in taps. It doesn't apply continuous torque to the fastener, but instead it's a series of tapping motions. A torque stick will twist a certain amount. Once the fastener is tightened a certain amount, the torque stick will twist with each tap, absorbing any rotation which would otherwise twist the socket. It is important when using these to use directly on a socket, and it should be as short a socket as possible. Don't use it with a universal joint or other extension attached. Make sure the torque stick is fully inserted into the socket and that the impact wrench is fully inserted into the torque stick.One way to make sure it's working properly is to tighten a fastener, such as a lug nut, and watch what happens when the nut is tightened: You should be able to keep applying the impact wrench, but the socket will not turn.Now, as far as the product itself: Very impressive quality. Very solid build, each stick is color-coded and the torque value is well labeled. The case is excellent quality. Overall, excellent product which I recommend.

I like because I torque the wheels to 65ftlbs and then go around with my torque wrench and torque it to the actual spec and I can put any size socket on it.

GREAT TOOL AND PRICE

Upon receipt it would not fit the 1/2 inch drive on my impact wrench. The problem turned out to be the Yellow corrosion coating was inside the female end and a VERY small ridge on all four sides of the opening. I flat filed the ridge away along with the coating but still a no-go on full engagement. Finally I used a fine pointed very small file to clean out the four corners of the 1/2 inch opening. That finally cured the problem. The Mfg. of this product should mask off the opening prior to application of the coating.

Very accurate and hany without having to spend $$$ for A whole set.

Works very nicely for mounting wheels on my car with my impact wrench. The nuts are supposed to be torqued to 100 ft/lb, when I use this extension to give a short 1 or 2 second burst once the nuts are tightened they end up at around 90 ft/lb or so - better less than more in my opinion. I use a manual torque wrench to give them that last bit of oomph to get them to 100 ft/lb.I gotta say I wish I'd started using an impact wrench for tire changes a lot sooner, it's so much faster and easier than doing it all manually.

Installed tires this weekend and used the torque stick. I always go around with a regular torque wrench afterwards and all nuts were spot on. Happy with my purchase.
