STEELMAN 16102 11-Inch Mini Bend-A-Light Pro

I bought one in the 1990s to inspect a wing spar and when I picked it up this year, the switch had broken and there wasn't a way to fix it, so a new one was in order. This is an improved model, with a better design for the end cap/switch, so it should work better. It works and is a unique tool to help with getting a spot light on areas that are hard to access. Don't store it with batteries inside if you don't use it weekly. For the price, it works great.

I really wanted to like this light. Had one years ago that worked great except for the cheap switch that I had to tape onto barrel. When I opened package, I was pleased to see a re-designed switch that looked like it'd be better. Anyway, I removed the insulator piece, screwed it together and the threads seem to have been stripped. Parts would not stay together! And the light never came on, even with new batteries. Returning and will seek out another brand - hopefully with better results.

These lights are amazing to hand on hand. Makes seeing in tight, dark areas SO much easier.

This light is fine for getting in to tight spaces but it’s not an LED. That would give it another star!

Title claims that it’s an 11 inch bendable light. Further in the description it states 6 inches are bendable. In reality, only 5 inches are available for bending as seen in the photo; the clear plastic tube doesn’t allow it to bend any further near the base.The bendable portion can only be bent to about 135°, beyond that the light begins to flicker on and off.When working it is not very bright. The plastic housing also makes me wonder how long it’s going to hold up.But to be fair, it does work so for that, I give it three stars.

This item is unique among inspection light products. The long flexible stem will take the lighted tip into very small spaces. I have an older version that I have used for years with aircraft inspections, etc. and just recently purchased this longer unit with the LED bulb. It is much brighter and has a better switch than the older one. I used the new one for detecting leaks in my saxophone valves. Works great, lasts a long time.

Cheaply made: Did not even turn on and this is not a fiber optic flashlight, the bulb is mounted on the end. I tried replacing the battery but that didn't work either.

Good quality product.
