Sfozstra 26.5 lbs Patio Umbrella Base, Concrete Umbrella Base, Market Umbrella Stand, Black

It is on a pretty windy balcony, so I didn't expect it to work in all conditions, but with the mildest gust on a not very windy day, my umbrella blows over. That being said, I think most other umbrella stands would perform similarly. That is, I don't think it is a design flaw with this particular unit. But if you are looking for something to prevent your umbrella from blowing over, you will need for instance, a table with a hole in it if this is your base and there is any wind.

I am not a fan of this base. The pole attached to the base that the umbrella pole sits in just allows my umbrella to spin round and round, it’s like the inside may be stripped since the screw just never a secures it in place. I was trying to give this base a try but ever time I open the umbrella for shade, the slightest wind will have it spinning around. Wish I could return but missed the window, now stuck with a base I can’t really use unless I just want my umbrella to sit closed up for decoration purposes, so I’m now searching for a replacement and as much as I wanted a fashionable base, I may give the plastic base that you fill up with water or sand a try instead.

Tightened the screw and the plastic box began to separate from the base....now I needed to drill through it and run a bolt and nut to secure it properly. Should have been a metal screw retainer...not plastic cheap junk.

I live in an upstairs apartment and bought this for my table. I get pretty strong winds whipping around up here, however this base has kept my umbrella standing strong. I was a little skeptical at first but so far so good.

Sturdy and gets the job done!!

This thing is really wobbly and tips over all the time. As annoying as it is I need it for the kids so we find interesting ways to keep it from toppling on them. The base is very heavy but the neck is unstable and weak. I will need to find another product soon.

This stand is just right for us. It’s very sturdy, and it was easy to assemble. We’ve had it for a few months now with no issues. We close the umbrella for big wind events. I don’t know how well it would hold up if we didn’t, but we haven’t had any trouble with it during normal breezes.

Umbrella covers a large area which is exactly what we needed for a large rectangular patio table. Seems well made for the first few days of use. Hard to get it to stop from rotating in the wind despite an umbrella base which has screw to hold it in place. Overall, very happy with my purchase so far.
