I bought this as used nearly new so I got it for a really good price but after receiving I realised why these are a little pricey at full price. Amazing quality and despite being sold as used I couldn’t find any reason it was sold at this price. Box was sealed and the contents looked as though they hadn’t been removed. Very happy with purchase.

Just recently purchased the Canon Pro-10S printer so I can print my own A4/A3 photos for competitions, this guillotine is very sturdy, heavy and the blade is sharp, this was purchased from the resale and am very happy with it

This product arrived with the blade jammed, so I returned it immediately and am now awaiting collection. At around £130, this is not cheap for what is essentially a cutting wheel running along a steel guide. I had been waiting for it to complete ongoing work, and this fault has set me back by several days. There was no question of my attempting to release or adjust the blade on a brand-new machine when it was clearly misaligned. Dahle may have a good reputation, but some form of securing clamp or alignment protection during shipping would seem advisable on new machines. I am returning this item, and my confidence in the brand has been shaken. I will be replacing it with a different manufacturer. I have come to suspect that the courier MAY HAVE caused the damage by simply dumping it on the doorstep, on a public pavement.

Does the job as expected.

This is a good-looking and a really well-made A2 machine. I have had an A3 paper trimmer from the same company for over 20 years and it is as good now as it was when I first used it.

On delivery trimmer blade was jammed so it was unuseable. Contacted the local agent for Dahle for info as to how to unjam it or how to have it fixed or replaced ( unit is sold as having a guarantee). After exchange of emails - with photos - agent avoided comment on guarantee position but simply told me to return item to Amazon as it must have been damaged in transit. No problems with returning unit to Amazon and getting a replacement. However, although trimmer is reasonably easy to use for basic paper trimming, it is nowhere near able to cut paper to the thickness it claims or deal efficiently with multiple sheets. Devices to hold sheets firm are not effective and support bar to ensure square cutting it itself not square to blade. This is not a unit for anyone doing work requiring precision or the cutting of material over about 1.5mm thick.
