Wilson FIBA 3X3

This is a great basketball for my son who is 7. It is NOT a full size men's basketball, I believe it's a size 6 which most children his age use. What I like about it is that it's heavier than a standard size basketball which makes it an excellent practice tool for him. It also looks cool and has held up very well to outdoor use. Happy with the ball and the price we got here.

arrived on time, haven't used it yet, but what a great idea for pick up games that perhaps have youngins, or maybe are co-ed. also most pick up games are played on dirty courts the best ball in the world will be slick when plastered with dirt slime and sweaty filth. hopefully the size and ridges will help everyone handle the ball better. im thinking it's going to sail in the passing game and promote a more offensive game. a la 10 min 3x3 games. .....updated. Now I've used it for a while. nice ball, a nice relatively soft ball but has nice bounce. this is a fun ball for it's unique characteristics. it's easy to pass fast, probably easier for weaker people to hit threes. and yes it alwas seems to have some grip even after dirty and even somewhat sweaty or otherwise moist. it is a different kind of ball and shoots a little differently, the ridges are very noticable but not that deep. i like it for playing coed pickup games. of course the dribble handling is better on a gg7x molten. but nobody gets better than the gg7 for handling. overall this ball does what it was made for and is real fun to play with. the durability has been gelatively good playing with it 1 a week for over a year. still handles good in good condition even after some abuse

I absolutely love this basketball. It’s one of my favorites of all time. so far it’s been through quite a beating and it is still going strong. I love the grip and it’s durability. I will probably end up buying another just to have as a spare in the future.

It doesn't have the pretty pattern in the photo, but the ball otherwise matches the description. It arrived inflated.

I’ve played with almost every basketball out there and almost at every level. The 3x3 is designed for outdoor play but not necessarily for concrete/pavement. It’ll wear after a while but it holds up better than the regular Evolutions people love so much. The ball is 28.5” and official men’s weight, but it really doesn’t feel heavier like a men’s ball. It still feels like shooting a women’s ball. The ball is actually more aerodynamic outside though because of the channels, there’s less surface area for wind drag to catch the ball and influence shots/passes outside. If only there was a 29.5” version because they feel way different than the Wilson Wave did. Still a quality ball but depending on the age group at the park, people probably won’t want to run games with it.

Just received the ball and took it to the court to shoot and work out with it. Initial impression is that it's a little easier to shoot and handle creatively. Shooting: The ball is smaller and gives a little more margin of error through the hoop, as any size 6 ball does. But the shooter doesn't have to compensate for the lighter weight of a typical size 6 ball, which I usually chuck a little too hard and get bad bounces when I play with my kids. Easy to get back spin with all the wave texture. Handles: The grip is softer than most synth leather outdoor balls. The texture plays together with the smaller size but full weight to make the ball more sensitive and easier to direct off the dribble. I'm not a strong handler by any means but I was impressed how easy it was to get a little bit of swing out of the bounce and cross it over. It's a fun ball, it makes for a fast game. Search FIBA 3x3 videos if you haven't seen the game played by those rules, to see what I mean. I haven't had it long enough to rate durability. Consider the 4 stars a provisional rating. The ball itself does what I expected it to and has my full satisfaction.

Good ball for the tween baller to shoot ( ie the odd big kid waiting for all the small kids to catch up in size and strength ), U14 Boys Basketball in Oz is size 6 for game ball. So to get more buckets they should get use to the size 6 ball. However its the same weight as a size 7 ball, so making a transition to the under 16's. will just be a smaller adjustment, or no adjustment if playing 3x3.

Ich benutzen den Ball schon recht lange hauptsächlich für Streetball und kann ihn definitiv weiterempfehlen. Der Ball hat einen sehr guten Grip und liegt dank seiner etwas kleineren Größe besser in der Hand als ein normaler Basketball. Dadurch hat man ein besseres Ballhandling. Ideal für 3x3 Spiele!
