Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
M**C
As-is, basically inedible. Yet I give it 3 stars. Read more to find out why.
Each pack contains 2 half-pound peanut butter cups. I love Reese's PB cups, trees, eggs, etc. The problem with these giant ones is that the chocolate is really thick, which is a problem because the chocolate is absolutely abysmal. My wife was able to eat one of these cups, but I could not take more than a bite of this "chocolate" because it's really sugary, waxy, and doesn't have good chocolate flavor. It's just really, really terrible. The peanut butter inside is very dry and crumbly, not at all the texture in regular cups or in the trees, eggs, hearts, etc. However, the pb still tastes good enough to eat. Therefore, to solve my problem, I removed all of the chocolate from my cups; I melted down good chocolate and poured it into the plastic dishes that the pb cups come in. I then dropped the pb into the chocolate and covered it. I ended up with really good pb cups. Yeah, a moister texture on the pb would have been better, but I still enjoyed the cups. You might think that if I have to chuck all of the chocolate, I probably shouldn't give it even 3 stars. However, I repurposed the old chocolate. I melted it down (be very careful if you do this because the high sugar content means that it is very easy to caramelize (burn) the sugar in the chocolate, though I honestly found that an improvement, flavor-wise) and mixed in (a lot of) cocoa power, butter, and a little milk. My original intention was to melt it down and pour it into candy molds to make pb-flavored chocolate candies, but I heated it too much, and the textured turned to a fudge-like consistency. So, I spread it out on a silicone mat, froze it (it would not harden otherwise - the texture remained soft no matter how long it sat), cut it into squares, and put it in the fridge to eat later. It ended up pretty good. They made a great impression for Christmas, along with huge candy items that I got for my kids, so I don't regret buying this. And they came in perfect condition. If I wasn't going to "fix" them, I'd probably give them 1 star, at least for me, but others may not mind the taste of the really awful chocolate. Since I was able to get really good treats out of these, I feel it earns a couple of extra stars. It doesn't get 5 though because I did feel as though I needed to fix them, so I split the difference with 3.

Great for Sharing
I received one of these holiday edition 1-pound Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for Christmas in 2013 but I hadn't seen them anywhere again until last week (here on Amazon). They truly are a chocolate and peanut butter fans dream but be aware each half pound cup is a whopping 2,240 calories with 400 percent of your daily value of sugars, so share them or savor them a little piece at a time.

Given as a novelty stocking stuffer for Christmas
Given as a novelty stocking stuffer to my son-in-law and grandson who both like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. They were amazed and pleased with their size and very happy to get them.

Gigantic Deliciousness
It is delicious!! One would think that the flavor may change by the mere size and amount of peanut butter to chocolate ratio, but it remained sooo good.
