These are the best! In the past I had a difficult time keeping ferns alive in the hot summer months because of all the water they need. The fern buckets have worked terrific and I only have to remember to water them once or twice a week. They are very robust especially the chains. Highly recommend these, I am thinking of getting some more to put hanging flowers in!

Simplifies hanging plants and flowers. The product has an indicator that monitors water level in a reservoir that can last a week in South Carolina heat. The system that keeps the plant from becoming root bound works extremely well. The basket/bucket and chain are high quality and easy to use. Our plants and flowers look wonderful!

I was looking for a solution for my mature Boston fern that was starting to outgrow its hanging pot. The idea of a self-watering pot for ferns sounded great. I guess I should have looked more closely that the other products by the same company are called "buckets" and this is indeed a large bucket with some clever inserts to wick water from the bottom. It may be clever, but the large bucket, once fitted with the water reservoir is too small for a mature fern and is still a bucket. Plus the chain segments the fern fronds in a really weird way, making it look bunched into the bucket. If you have a smaller plant and don't mind displaying a bucket in your home, this product will serve your needs. But it definitely misses the mark for me on aesthetics and size.

I have never been able to have nice hanging plants! I always seem to either over-water OR under-water. But, not this year! This self watering system was the answer!!! I’m so thrilled!
