A.I. Void Ship: The A.I. Series, Book 6

Fascinating continuation of the story of the AI's and John Hawkins. I enjoyed the enjoyed the expanded character development of the crew and hope to see more of it in the series. Will say that at around 2\3rd 's of the way through the story became a bit predictable and was losing excite!ent but then everything turned upside down for the crew and their new plan of action to save the human race (at least for a little while longer). Excited to learn more about the other life forms in the Orion Belt in the next book or two as how the Confederation builds to defend life against the machines. The emergence of the Enoy was thoughtfully placed and left me wanting to know more about them and the 20000 year was with the machines...but I still want to know who made the AI. At this point I am getting on the Enoy created their eternal enemy. Can't wait to continue the story.

This is a great story and has things a syfy'er like me loves. Aliens of course, great sounding tech, battles, great characters and of course the bad guys which are A.I.s.

I usually look for a longer series like this one as I read constantly. Usually by this point, book 6, they start to get repetitive and boring, not this one!

When the odds are stacked so high against you, conventional wisdom tells you to abandon all hope and, in this case, many people chose to flee.Hawkins knee it’s better to die trying than to flee and live a horrible life of fugitives.But he was a lucky man, or should I say, god sides the man who tries the hardest and helps the man who helps himself. In this case other sentient aliens have taken notice and they are extending their help which makes the plot believable.

I have come to love starting my day with a cup of tea, John, Gloria, Bast, Hon Fa, Walleye and the Centurion!!! The books are hard to put down. If your looking for a series to take you away. This is it. Pkease keep writing them and never stop! I am not a great reviewer, but this is a must read for Sci-Fi fans everywhere. Thank you Vaughn Heppner for this great series.

Liked the book overall. Realistic travel, not just a warp in and out, though the void does negate that.Retreat of the fleet was to easy of an out. Now put all systems on warvproduction footing, massive waves that can equal AI output..

Good read

Enjoy able read with some twists, although the main one was pretty obvious. I guess the next one will introsuce fresh narratives and take on how Alien culture may be more alien than we can think of.

This is a superlative continuation of a Superlative series of books by Vaughan Heppner. The story telling is magnificent; the character studies are immaculate especially (I've said this before in other reviews) his unique ability to give alien species and machines distinct traits and personalities that perfectly juxtapose and chime with the characters in the series. I sincerely believe that the author carries this through nearly all of his books. For me this is his absolute USP his key differentiator with most other authors in this genre.I do so hope that Vaughan chooses to write the next episode quickly followed by one from the A.I. & the Lost series because those two are the elite for me.....Bravo.....I want more now and more often!!

As with most space operas there comes a point where is all so predictable and more of the same.This book was heading that way in the series but then BANG ! Not one but TWO plot twists completely energised the book and kept me involved (2am involved !)Well worth giving this book enough time and waiting for the surprises.

Brilliant. New aliens bring a whole new dimension to this thrilling series. looking forward to a continuation of this gripping saga. Another book that I just couldn't put down.

A very good read but need to read all the rest of the series first as the plots can get quite complicated if you dont know the characters.

I enjoy a series where on can relate to the characters, whether a space story or other genre. Keep up the good work.
