They are of worst quality n you may not return! So your screwed.
These black truffles fall way short in quality. They don’t smell or taste life truffles AT All. Very very disappointed. Equally I soaked some for almost 2 days and they were still hard. Honestly they are just a waste of money period. My suggestion is do not buy as you are Unable to return!!! Rip off period ! Calling it as I see it! Terrible

WHAT TYPE OF BLACK TRUFFLES ARE THESE AND WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?
All I get as an answer is that they are black truffles and they are sliced and packaged in USA, and are considered organic by USA standards. Why can't you answer basic questions that are important to the consumer?!! If I could get those answers than I would have rated 4 or 5 stars. The truffles are well packaged EXCEPT DESCRIPTION. Truffle slices are clean and depending on the type may not be completely ripe. Dried pieces have an earthy scent. I re-hydrate mushrooms in cold water which prevents leather texture. After hydration, these truffles release a buttery/fruity/earthy weak scent which is pleasant. Taste is weaker than fresh but does add hint of flavor to recipe. My dog also recognizes these as truffles but the taste and scent is different from fresh truffles but maybe that is because I've never had this type of "black truffle" ??!! I wouldn't know as THEY DON'T TELL US WHICH FRICKIN "BLACK TRUFFLE" THIS IS. I would buy again if I don't find another source or better yet, I might just start dehydrating fresh ones myself... AT LEAST I WILL KNOW WHERE THEY CAME FROM AND WHICH TYPE THEY ARE!! If they ever answer those questions than I will know whether or not to raise up from the 3 star. These do not have any hint of "garlic" scent to them that I have smelled with fresh ones. But that might because I have only had a different type of black truffle, but don't know because THEY DON'T TELL US WHICH ONES THESE ARE OR WHERE THEY COME FROM. :)

Black Truffles
Well worth the cost for Black Truffles. You can use the powdered crumbs in the bag to infuse oil, or butter or sprinkle over eggs, salad, hot pizza. It's great!

Dog training
Using them to train Dog to find truffles. I don't know whether it will work or not but she does well at finding them when I hide them.

Garbage.
Former Chef. This product is rubbish! In the whole of my cooking life, there have been numerous tines that called for the use of dehydrated fungi… such a crimini. Portobello, and oyster mushrooms. I was always to rehydrate them by covering in BOILING water…for 30-40 minutes. Usually… they emerge very plump, mostly tender, and ready to use. The instructions on this package said “warm water for 30 minutes”! I did that! They were like so many other reviewers stated: hard, bland, styrofoam-Ike, flavorless, cardboard! Not only did I try their instructions… I also used boiling water for 30 minutes… and then added them to my mug of boiling bone broth for an additional 10 minutes. They remained hard, with only the faintest of flavor. Acknowledging that you get what you pay for… I wouldn’t serve this product to anyone. Ever. How does one rehydrate a desiccated mummy? I thought I’d maybe compost them for my herb plants…!but they are bereft of any nutritional value, whatsoever. My garden deserves better. I am stunned that Amazon didn’t vet this product, before representing it!!!! And I’m an Amazon FAN! Sorely disappointed! I guess I’m back to ordering from proper gourmet shops for truffles! Horrifyingly disappointed. Shocked Amazon would permit it. So let down. If I could give the product a minus 100… I would.

Bad quality
These taste like nothing. Don’t bother buying them.

I love Truffles and at the price these are so good!
Sliced to the right thickness to bring out the flavor of the Fungus. My advice is to soak them in water for about half an hour before using them and use the water in your dish.

Avoid!
Don’t waste your money into this kind of truffle. Quality is very poor and it’s not chefs grade. Avoid!
