There may be less expensive vendors available.This vegetable soup is very good, but not exciting. You may want to add some table pepper and more spice rack spices than it already contains, to liven it up a bit. For some reason, really low salt soups are becoming hard to find in the supermarkets, and it is a problem for anyone with high blood pressure. As I had done for years before retirement, as one of the people running the Partners Health Care, Pine Street Inn food drive after Thanksgiving, I had collected unwanted canned or boxed food in the neighborhood for the Pine Street Inn, Boston, MA homeless shelter. They prefer to receive money, as they can buy food in bulk, and get more food for the same amount of money spent, but I just wanted to put to good use any neighborhood food that would otherwise eventually be thrown away. One of our neighbors donated some really low salt soups that she was not using anymore, as her husband had used the soups, and he had to go to a nursing home. I had never heard of this brand before, and 50mg of salt per serving is really low for any of the low salt soups. Because our supermarket is not large enough to carry all of the soups on the retail market, it did not have the low salt versions of the Health Valley Organic brand. Some soups say low salt, and at 160mg of salt they are lower than the regular soups at 390mg or more, but the very low salt soups are really scarce.
