Sarah Skinner did it again!
I am a fan of Sarah's, both as a dancer and as a teacher.I own two other DVDs with her (Luscious and Celebration) and use both regularly.I might go back and write a more comprehensive review later, for now I am going to say that this is an AMAZING product.What I especially like is the flexibility of the workout. There is a great warmup, six different sections (which are mini workouts in themselves, with a targeted mini stretching section at the end of each one) and an absolutely wonderful cooldown (I own tons of DVDs and that is possibly the best cooldown I have ever done). As there are six different drills, you can easily customise your workout based on the time you have. Since the drills are not progressive, but target different types of shimmies, you can mix and match them (doing two at a time, three, etc), to create many different workouts.As an intermediate dancer I love this and I am going to use it a lot.

Excellent format
This is another excellent belly dance training DVD from the lovely Sarah Skinner. I also have her "Bellydance with Veil" DVD and I find Sarah to be a clear and engaging tutor. She explains things very clearly, demonstrates the moves and then gives you the opportunity to practise with her.The Shimmy Workout not only tells you all you need to know about, well, shimmying, it is constructed in such a way that you can pop the DVD in the player whenever you have 5 or 10 minutes to spare and spend some quality drill time with Sarah and her glamourous assistants!Each section can be found quickly and easily from the menu, and you can spend as much or as little time as you can spare. on your shimmies.

brilliant
I am thoroughly enjoying doing this workout. I have been going to class for a few years and am enjoying the challenge of improving and strengthening my shimmy. Sarah Skinner explains and demonstrates clearly with a good progression from simpler to more complicated moves. I would suggest it is not suitable for people who haven't done belly dancing before, as some of the moves are quite tricky.

This is a really good daily drill workout dvd featuring the various forms of shimmy. You really know you've done when you get it to the end.
