Great product - love making these with the children
Great product - love making these with the children. Much easier than the rubber moulds we used to have as kids.

OK, but gimmicky
The previous reviewer compares this to the latex moulds that I had as a child, and maybe that's why I am so disappointed with the shaker maker, the end product just isn't anywhere near as good as the ones I made with my latex moulds as a child. You can see from the image on the box what you'll be able to make, so I really shouldn't complain about the figures, but they aren't very exciting. You get 2 moulds and 2 packs of plaste of paris, so if like us you muck up your 1st lot of plaster of paris by following the instructions, you'll only actually be able to make one figure. As a parent I find the shaker makers are really just a gimmick, I prefer the 3M mould and paint range, not only do I feel they're better value for money but they're much less bulky to store when not in use. My children love that with shaker maker they get to make something associated with ther favourite characters but actually they seem to get just as much enjoyment from the mould & paint range when they can make several figures at once.

A bit disappointing
This appears to be an update to the latex moulds for plaster of paris that my children enjoyed about 30 years ago. Then we relied on the availability of a mixing bowl and spoon/spatula, now it's provided in the form of a cocktail shaker, which helps to fill the display box!Only two moulds were provided, so not a lot of variety of shapes, but on the positive side, a set of very small paints and a brush were included. We found the mould-halves quite difficult to separate, also, there seemed to be quite a few air spaces left, so that was disappointing for my grandson of rising 7 years old.
