New GPU Cooling Fan for MSI GS65 Stealth GS65VR P65 MS-16Q2 MS-16Q1 MS-16Q3 Series 16Q2-GPU-CW

I definitely got the fans mixed up and ordered the wrong one, but I ended up replacing both anyway. I think this fan works better than the original.

I have bought two of these now and they start rattling and breaking down to non-usable within a month they are cheap for a reason and also don’t fit the laptop properly you have to remove a piece so it doesn’t hit the motherboard, not a fun project especially if you don’t have the tools to remove the piece

First one arrived bent, as it's a delicate electronic component and it was shipped in a bubble mailer with no reinforcement. Replacement had to be dremeled to fit the GS65. Replacement is dead today; I installed it 11/20/2023 and it's dead as of 4/3/2024. This fan should not be considered if you care about your electronics.Original review:1) original fan fitment 2) this fan. Probably want to order some thermal paste before jumping into this project - since you've come this far, may as well re-paste your heatsinks. This metal cuts easily with a Dremel and 420 cutoff disk on low speed.Amazon, please don't ship delicate electronic components in bubble mailers. First order showed up bent.This should be in a box to protect it from damage during shipping.

The screw holes line up and the wiring works fine. There was a section I had to remove to keep it from hitting the motherboard.

Processing Speed: 9/10Delivery Speed: 10/10Packaging: 8/10Item Quality: 6/10The fan blade almost twice as thick as the original one, even rotating at 6000 rpm (from MSI Dragon Center) the sound too quite, not lime the original one (i know its good), but after i check the wind output with my hand its so slow, doesnt push as hard as the original one, and after i checked the temperature its 5c-10c higher than original oneMostly the cap is in 75c on GPU with original fan, with this replacement fan around 80-82c sometimes reach 86c

I liked how it works, and doesn't make any noises like my old one. I installed this on a MSI G35 stealth laptop. It's not as easy to install due to the complicated process to get to the fan, however, watching youtube videos I was able to install it and put my laptop back together in about 30 min.

Does not fit msi gs 65 stealth thin. Speeds are slow from stock too.

I have an MSI GS65 Stealth and the fans didn't fit out of the box. We had to use snips and a Dremel to trim it down to size. The center screw hole also doesn't line up.
