These dissolve well and have good consistency. Plenty of room for additional colors in the tray. The mixing tray/cover slopes a bit too much and needs to be propped up or your paint runs off, but handy to have in a pinch. The lid wells work much better.

Opened the box and it was love at first sight.

The colors in the photo are probably not the ones you'll get when the box arrives. In fact, the colors I get may differ from the ones you do, should you choose to order this box. I'll delve a little deeper here.I'm giving a three star review based on the third party seller, Blick. I was curious about this box and accidentally bought it with my one-click amazon option (silly me). The next day I realized my error and contacted the seller to request a cancellation. They refused, stating that the product had already shipped. On a Sunday. ...okay? I was told the return shipping would be out of my pocket and to basically just deal with it. Whatever. At the price it was going for, for artist grade Winsor and Newton paints, I suppose I couldn't complain too much. I was simply afraid I'd be duplicating colors.That said, after requesting a cancellation, my order arrived fairly quickly. It was to be expected by the 28th of them month (4 days after ordering), and I received it on the 22nd, so good hustle, Blick.Customer service aside, let's review the product itself.The metal tin comes with 12 artist grade half pans with room for 12 more and a couple brushes (Or sideways pans, if that's your thing).The colors I received are as follows:Lemon YellowWinsor YellowWinsor RedAlizarin CrimsonWinsor Blue (Green Shade)French UltramarinePermanent Sap GreenYellow OchreRaw SiennaBurnt UmberIvory Black...and my mortal enemy, Chinese WhiteThe colors themselves perform well, and I love the tin. When you open it, there are 4 mixing wells on one end, and 5 on the other. You may have to press down some to bend the metal to your will so it lies flat on the 5 well side. I did and haven't noted any issues, but time will tell, I suppose. Your mileage may vary. You also get a swatch card to do up to 24 swatches on.That said, I my only issue with the product itself is that it came with a white color. My main problem was with the seller, but for $70 I suppose I can't complain too much and will keep the paints.

Be aware of the colors aren't glued well to the pans so my case, all of them came off from the pans, and there was a Chinese white, which was not included on their list of the colors they provided, which I don't need. Good thing was that they came earlier than the expected delivery date. But I'm not happy with the product.

The best watercolour pan set out there. Vivid, lightfast shades. My only complaint is they didn’t include a violet shade!
