SPIGEN SGP09631 Aluminum Home Buttons for iPhone and iPad (3 Pack)

I bought this to go with the SGP GLAS.tR screen protector for my iPhone5. And what a fantastic combination these two items are. The GLAS.tR is perhaps the finest phone shield much in the vein of the superb Giotto's glass LCD guards for dSLRs. However, it does leave the home button pretty well sunk in, a situation which prevents accidental activation but that some find objectionable. The Button solves this issue nicely. Very easy to apply with the "Scotch tape" method. Easy to reapply if you miss slightly the first time. The milled grooves are precise and the chamfered edge was precisely machined. All was well in terms of fit and finish although some have found issues with the centering of the grooves, inset square shape, or the chamfer. When properly applied, it sits just a hair's thickness below the surface of the GLAS.tR. The feel is sure and comfortable to the finger and button activation is not negatively affected at all. You just have to make sure that 1) the GLAS.tR is centered and that the Button is centered in the opening for the home button. I'm quite happy with this unit. The only concern I'll be watching out for over time is accumulation of crud in the gap between the screen protector and the button. I suspect if it gets sufficiently grubby that I'll have to pull the Button and install another. That's okay as they give you three in the $10 pack.I have to say that with the Button, the GLAS.tR, and the Minisuit low profile case, I am as happy with the aesthetics of my iPhone system as I am with the functionality. Beautiful.

I have used the GLAS.t on all of my phones for the past few years and have been very impressed with the durability and clarity of the screen protector. What I didn't like was the plastic bubble looking button attachments that come with the GLAS.t to make the home button easier to press since the GLAS.t adds thickness to the screen. The whole purpose of the GLAS.t was to have a screen protector that didn't look like a screen protector and then they added a bubbly looking home button that made it look cheap. The Aluminum Home Buttons solve that problem entirely. They look very good when used with the GLAS.t. I use the silver colored button on my black iPhone 5 and my girlfriend uses the pink button on her white iPhone 5 and they both look great.As with all screen protector products, you must be very careful when you attach the product initially because it is very difficult to undo. Once your GLAS.t is installed, I highly recommend using scotch tape to attach the buttons. Stick the top of the button to the scotch tape and then you can carefully align the button prior to pressing it down permanently.

They're good, but not great. For this price, you should get two of each in my opinion, or at least be able to select which ones you want to buy individually... the pink will never be used by me or anyone I know. But for what they're worth, they're not bad.

I am so sad, I bought this for the pink one only and it didn't stick. Maybe I got a "bum" one. BUT so sad $10 down the drain :'( If it stuck it would have gotten 5 stars for being so beautiful.

The aluminum buttons are a nice idea and look great, but once installed they sit higher than the screen.The button constantly gets pushed when in my pocket and activates siri.

Its an aluminum button but it looks and feels great on the iPhone 5.I'm using the black button with a Moshi iVisor AG and I prefer it to having to press through the somewhat thicker screen protector. Also, with the screen protector around the button, I found that a lot of gunk and dust got stuck around the button with general use whereas now my fingers not constantly rubbing against the sides of the screen protector, they're just touching the button.Although I havent used it on a naked iPhone it really doesnt come up far off the screen. With the Moshi screen protector it raises about a mm off the screen but without the screen protector I would guess about 1 1/2- 2mm off the screen.Anyways, it works great even without using the GlasT which is what my initial concern was and it actually makes the button easier to press.The issues I have are fairly minor. The first is the price in that I think they could offer a 6 pack with different colors for the price but even a 4th included button in gun metal or red would have felt more like a $10 value instead of having to pay $10 more for the other 3 colors. Besides price the installation can be a bit tricky to get it perfectly. I'm not sure if its easier with the GlasT on but lining it up perfectly was more challenging than I thought it would be. Now of course I used the scotch tape method and that does make it easier but lining it up where the button presses down equally easy on all 4 sides is a little trickier. To do that I had to remove the button about 4 times and keep trying again. You probably dont need to be that perfect too be honest, but I'm OCD and if pressing on the left side of the button is sticky while the right side is easy, then I cant have that lol. Anyways, like I said it is a minor gripe and lifting the button off was easy enough to do with a finger nail and it didnt seem to lose stickyness when I did.If you want to pimp your phone or you have a thicker screen protector on your phone like the GlasT, Moshi iVisor, etc... these really are great little buttons that look great.

I am using the silver one on my white iPhone with my glas.t and it looks amazing. Replacing the jelly home buttons that spigen provided with the glas.t, it feels extremely good. It comes level with the glas.t in instead of sticking up like the jelly ones. Also, the genuine aluminum feels great and not cheap at all and the tactile feedback is great. It definitely adds a beautiful pop to the front of my phone without being tacky. I highly recommend this for anyone who is first of all looking for an alternative home button to use with the glas.t or glas.tr as well as anyone who simply wants to dress up their phone elegantly. I also have the black one on my black iPad and it's equally stunning. It does rise up a bit but nothing drastic.As for installation, I recommend using a piece of tape to pick up the button, align it and apply it.

the button gives an extra personal touch to your iphone. Also, It goes perfectly with the Tech Armor Ballistic Glass I have on mine.Unfortunately, this article is quite expensive compared to other Iphone accessoires I have found on the internet.I can really recommand this article for iphone 5 and 5 C users. But also iphone 5S users if you don't use the touch ID (fingerprint scanner)

Aus dem Hause Spigen kommen ja derzeit die besten Schutzartikel für iDevices. In Kombination mit dem Glas.t für das iPad bzw. mit dem Glas.tr für das iPhone 5 sind die Home Buttons unverzichtbar, da das Home Button etwas tiefer liegt. Die beim Displayschutz mitgelieferten sind sehr minderwertig und fühlen sich auch nicht so hochwertig an. Außerdem ist es sehr schwer diese ohne Rückstände zu entfernen. Es sieht auch sehr stylisch aus. Also, wer ein Glas.t bzw. Glas.tr kauft dann diese Buttons gleich mitbestellen.

If you use the Spiegen Glas-tr screen protection i wouldn;t bother with this. It causes the protector to lift around the home button. This is especially if you use your phone in your pocket at all.

Diese Buttons passen sehr gut. Sind besser als die Jelly Beans, die man meist bei SPIGEN SGP Glas t.R bekommt. Je nach Front, schließt es gut auf eine Ebene ab. Die Jelly Beans sind zwar auch nicht schlecht, aber ist halt nicht so toll als diese flachen.Zumal die sehen besser aus als die Jelly Beans.Nur vo Preis her ist es ziemlich happig. Daher ein Stern weniger.
