Recently, someone, who shall remain nameless, spilled a large glass of water on a laptop. The laptop did not survive the encounter.All of this nameless person's photography was on the SSD.So...I bought this drive enclosure, disassembled the laptop, and popped the drive in it. And that's all it took. It took an hour to get the laptop apart, and 1 minute to put the drive in this enclosure.Easy to use.Well-built.No tools needed.Came with the cable.

Very nicely machine enclosure. Feels nice in the hand. Great weight to it. I fell in love with this thing almost immediately. Being a media management professional having an enclosure that’s easy to use and swap out ssd quickly is a must. Normally I’d use Sata2.5, but when managing operating systems it’s great to have the speed of type c and the nvm.e 2 card.

Good quality and versatile. Performs as indicated. Adapter is very practical and handy. Adapts to various size key drives. The rubber stopper is very snug and it took a little pressure to get it seated to hold the SSD drive in place. Arrived quickly in protective packaging.

This is such a great little USB drive case for an SSD. Very easy to use. It's versitile. It makes my job much easier.

I validated my new USB 3.1 card with a $20 dongle drive, and achieved 300 MB/sec write speed to the dongle. Plugged in my Samsung 970 PRO NVME M.2 into this enclosure, and using the same cables & same USB card on computer, only achieved 30+MB/sec write speeds. So less than desired write speeds (I'm going to assume it's not the 970 Pro, with high probability). So can I at least use this to clone my current 960 PRO? Nope, at least using Macrium I can't. Macrium states that despite the ability to read and write to the NVME in the enclosure, it is unable to clone to it; Macrium continues to say this is a limitation in the engineering of some enclosures. In judgment, it seems this was rushed to market. I'll check back, but if anyone has worthy comments to this, it would be valued.

While cloning one WD Black to another, the temperature of the SSD's ran around 195°F.It cloned them fine, but I'd suggest leaving the cover off and blowing a fan on it.

This was a dead stick. I read all of the information and reviews here. Then I called samsung tech support. within 60 seconds, they told me that they dont have a list of supported devices for use with their EVO 970 m.2 nvme cards. He ran through his diagnostics and confirmed that the rocketek enclosure was not configured to be able to be used to mirror the drive. So this is going back.

Ho acquistato questo box per riutilizzare un SSD NVME da 250GB che ho rimosso dal mio PC desktop nell'ultimo upgrade. Dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo, sono soddisfatto dell'acquisto.La custodia è realizzata in alluminio con una bella finitura satinata che nasconde perfettamente le impronte. Il coperchio ha un comodo meccanismo a scorrimento 'toolless' che permette di accedere al vano ssd m.2. L'unico neo che ho riscontrato è un leggero gioco nel meccanismo di chiusura che non permette un serraggio completo e causa un rumore metallico quando muovete il dispositivo. Non so se è un difetto limitato al mio esemplare oppure no, comunque ho risolto aggiungendo un piccolo spessore di cartone tra l'SSD ed il coperchio.Ampia compatibilità con i diversi formati m.2 2230, 2242, 2260 e 2280.Per quanto riguarda le prestazioni, non ho inserito un SSD ultra-performante per cui ero ampiamente al di sotto del limite di banda della connessione USB 3.1 Gen 2. Nonostante questo, posso confermare che non ho riscontrato cali di prestazione nemmeno dopo un uso prolungato dell'SSD.Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è notevole, quindi consiglio l'acquisto a chiunque voglia farsi un disco esterno molto veloce "fai da te".

Il case è carino, dalle linee semplici e ben rifinite. Come da descrizione è in metallo (alluminio) e sembra piuttosto resistente. E' dotato di due prese USB con connettività USB C-USB C e 1 cavo USB C- USB A.Per ora fa il suo dovere.

comodo e facile da montare,rumore metallico nello scorrimento ma essendo fatto di metallo....

Leider hat er ein funktionsfähige SSD als nicht formatiert angezeigt ( Mojave, evtl Chipsatz ).Die Gummibefestigung, statt Klammer oder Schraube, ist ein Graus beim einbauen.Ansonsten ist das Gehäuse schön. Ging zurück.
