Key features5-channel control: aileron, elevator, flaps, rudder and throttle powerful 480-size 960KV brushless out runner motor installed e-flite pro 30A brushless ESC installed ready to fly in minutes durable, lightweight and repairable z-foam construction requires a 5-channel full range transmitter, receiver, battery and charger (sold separately) needed to complete - 5+ Channel transmitter and compatible receiver (6+ Channel radio system with programmable transmitter for advanced sailing mixing functions) - 3S 11.1V 1300mAh 15C lipo battery and compatible charger Overview designed with experienced sailplane pilots in mind, the radian pro sailplane comes out of the box with ailerons and functioning flaps that let you take advantage of sailplane mixing functions like reflex, camber and Crow. But you don't have to have a programmable system to fly it. Anyone with a 5-channel sport radio can enjoy basic 4-channel control with flaps using the included y-harness. Like the original radian, the radian pro also comes equipped with a powerful 480-size 960KV brushless motor system that can catapult it to altitude in seconds. Its airframe is constructed from the same tough z-foam material and has been reinforced with fiberglass blades in the fuselage and wing to reduce flex. This reinforcement, along with that of the carbon fiber rod in the wing, make it possible for you to achieve a level of soaring precision with the radian pro that's on par with many competition gliders. Best of all, you can have this plug-n-play version ready to fly in minutes. All you need is a 5-channel full range transmitter and receiver, a 3S 11.1V 1300mAh Li-Po battery, and a 3S Li-Po charger.

Now once you get it up and gliding it's pretty nice and a hell of a lot sportier than ...
Just buy the normal radian. This thing is so hard to fly. Whenever I take off it'll pull to the right so hard that I can't even control it. I've tried tweaking everything from flaps to the rudder. Now once you get it up and gliding it's pretty nice and a hell of a lot sportier than the radian but trust me getting it up and about is so hard that it makes you worry about having to throttle up at any time

Great powered glider
I gave this 4 stars because right out of the box the ailerons were warped. Otherwise it's a well built and well designed foam glider that, flown in the correct conditions, provides a ton of thermal hunting fun. I've used both 1300 and 1600mAh batteries in it and it does well with both. Because of the fact that it has ailerons and flaps I'd recommend this for the intermediate rc pilot. It's definitely easy to land especially when using crow, as it slows right down even in a nose down attitude.

Flys well however......
The airplane flys well but, it is not for beginners. It's very quick and requires some skill and experience to fly. The wings took me nearly an hour to assemble due the lack of room for the wires and the poorly designed screw setup.

radian pro PNP radio controlled sailplane
First of all,, this is not a toy, it is a large, competitive powered sailplane. It is well designed, easy to assemble, and has a reputation as being a superb performer.Prompt shipment, arrived in excellent condition.

Product did all that I hoped for.
This Item was purchased to replace a previously owned "calypso" sail plane that I owned for some time, was veryhappy with that plane until one day because of a faulty transmitter battery that plane literally flew away. Looked forit for several days, never found it. Several of my flying friends had suggested that I purchase the Radian Pro so Ifollowed the advise and made the purchase. Was I ever surprised to find that the Radian Pro, of similar size andprice would way out perform at every level the "Calypso" which I thought was a top of the line sail plane, for thatprice level. Very glad I took my friends advise.

The Radian Pro is a winner
First, this is not a toy! And amazon.com should not have RC planes in toys!I have owned a Radian, and a Radian Pro for some time. Each flies well. I will speak here of only the Radian Pro, and it is much advanced over the Radian. I was told that at last years Nationals, a Radian Pro won - of course with a world class Pilot at the controls (transmitter).I bought my Radian Pro used, and I am the fourth owner. It has hundreds of flights on it. I've been flying it three times a week, 3 or 4 flights a day (I'm a novice, who has a mentor). I put plastic bolts to hold the wings on - on a hard landing, or crash, they will break, and not your wings. I've reinforced the tail with carbon fiber rods, as well as the aft fusalage, and the cockpit area. The whole plane is warped, and I adjusted the controls and trim to compensate. This is probably the best motor-glider in it's class. I have found and soared on thermals for over 25 minutes. For the money, it can't be beat. The next step up are the built up balso gliders. The Radian Pro, set up properly, in the right hands, will challange the $2000 gliders.A previous reviewer said the Radian Pro is fragle - it is, but foam is very repairable, and beefing up the plane with some light weight carbon fiber will help. By the way, balsa is more fragle, and harder to repair. There are stronger, beefier gliders out there, but they are heavy, and don't soar well - weight is bad for any RC plane (even real planes).
