LG 65NANO81A 65" 4K Ultra High Definition Nano 81 Series HDR NanoCell TV (2020)

Got this as a Christmas gift for my parents....they didn’t seem to have a issue with the picture quality but they are nearing 60 years old and the tv I was replacing was a 2013 55in LG (not smart). THE PICTURE QUALITY IS GARBAGE!!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GET SOMETHING ELSE FOR THE PRICE!

Very poor picture quality. It may look good at first glance but the haziness and light spots on the screen are very annoying after watching for a bit. The TV is edge lit and you can see bright areas and haziness around the edges of the screen lighting up the brighter sections of the picture. This can be pretty distracting. I would not have bought this TV had I known of this.I personally don't like the magic remote but some people might. It functions with a motion cursor similar to having a mouse on a computer. Nudging or moving the remote sometimes causes the cursor to appear on the screen and pull up the status bar without you wanting it to, just like a mouse would. I find the feature unnecessary and would prefer to just use the buttons but I haven't found a way to turn the motion cursor off.On the plus side, the smart TV features on this are great. The apps and interface are fast and responsive with no issues. I also screenshared videos from both my phone and laptop very quickly and easily.But overall, the picture quality issue is too much of a dealbreaker to recommend it at all.

So everyone should know by now, there are 3 top television makers, LG, SAMSUNG, and SONY. This LG 65 inch is third tier Lg....6, 7, 8 and 9 series. This is 8 series Nano cell and it has all features you need. Biggest one obviously is picture and it delivers on that front. Super vivid 4k and HD picture. Huge difference from 6 series. Easy set up. Not confined to Roku or other streaming service which I don't prefer. Good product
