Hoechstmass Sturdy Retractable Tape Measure Model Profi

This is a well made tape measure. Up until I bought this tape I would use a string and a carpenters tape if I needed to measure anything other than the length of a straight, flat surface. Previously, I have used low cost tapes that either stretched or became brittle and cracked. I can't guess about the longevity, but the quality of this tape suggests that I won't need another for a long time. I like that it retracts (the primary reason I ordered) and that it has metric and imperial measurements. The auto lock keeps the tape from retracting until it is release by pushing the button in the side of the case.

Got tired of wrapping my cloth tape back up every time I needed to take a measurement so wanted to go retractable. This is a great tailor tape for any body or clothing measurement, with the convenience of being retractable just like regular metal tape measures. Good quality, looks reasonably durable, so good value for the money. Cheap ones made in China don't work well and their ability to retract tends to break quickly. This is a much better choice!

I can't believe how easy it is to use this. Everything works as it should. At first, I was afraid to press on the auto-retract feature, lest it retract too fast and snap, but the worries were unfounded. Nice and smooth. And the design is aesthetically pleasing.So glad to have this.

Its like having a carpenter's tape for material. Works great and retracts properly. I use it for my knitting and it is a good tool.
