Easy to use and excellent ice cubes shapes

Love the large square ice cubes. However the round mould is hopeless. It is difficult to fill, the seal leaks all over the freezer and it is impossible to make the ice cube balls

I almost didn't buy these because of some of the reviews. Glad I did! They are really good, but a couple of things: 1) The square tray gets heavy when you put water in it and the silicone isn't sturdy (it's a floppy material!) so you need to put the ice cube tray on a plate or sheet pan to fill it and place it in the freezer. 2) the round cubes need to be placed on a tray also, and I've found that they sort of "snap" together. Make sure they are snapped all the way around. Also, when you fill them you should go ahead and let the water just stay on the outside part. If you try to dump it, you will empty the round molds as well. The extra ice is easy to remove when they are frozen. 3) Someone mentioned that they were hard to unmold. I hold my warm hand around the outside for a few seconds before I push the cubes out. If silicone is sticking to your cubes, you might have your freezer on a very cold setting and you might need to wait a little longer before unmolding. Having said all of that, these work very well and the cubes are impressive!

PROS: Does what the product description says - makes bigger ice cubes. Good for those who prefer whiskey or other drinks with ice but not too diluted with smaller ice cubes you get in most ice trays which have a larger overall surface area (and faster melting rates, more water). CONS: Only 6 at a time, the funnel is a bit fiddly - and probably the first thing you'll lose. Making ice spheres has a clear seam where the two silicon halves join.

Very happy with this set. The silicone thick so it is going to be long lasting and not rip/split from getting the ice out. The thickness also makes the tray pretty sturdy for putting into the freezer. There is also a little funnel to help in filling the sphere style tray as you have to fill that one from holes in the top. These make for large cubes/spheres so I am finding this would be good for freezing sauces etc and then popping them into a freezer bag tray to take out for single servings of pasta etc. Note that if you want to have cubes they look very clear like you see in pictures, it's best to use distilled water. Tap or spring water won't usually work for that. It has nothing to do with the tray use. It's the nature of the water. I definitely recommend this set.

I have had these is use for quite some now. Excellent quality in the product, the molds don't show any sign of undue wear and produce large ice cubes. There is a knack to getting the round type right but its not too hard.

Für mich eine gute Kaufentscheidung, ich war auf der Suche nach Silikikonformen für Eiswürfel in guter Qualität, die einfach zu befüllen sind, sich einfach lösen lassen und dazu eine schöne große Größe haben, ohne jedoch zu groß für gängige Gläser zu sein. Hier bin ich fündig geworden. Top. Das Material ist stabil und dabei aber leicht formbar, sodass das Lösen kein Problem ist. Bei der Lieferung ist auch ein Mini Trichter dabei, um die Runden Behälter leichter und bis zum Rand füllen zu können. Durch das Volumen der Eiswürfel/Kugel sind sie sehr ergiebig und halten im Getränk schön lange, sodass man nicht zwangsläufig nach jedem Getränk wieder neue Eiswürfel reinmachen muss.
